At age five a girl sat in her bunk and looked out the window. Into the dark sky overlong the damp town lit by lamps and cars passing by,
Her tiny voice spoke

"Dear lord," as she lifted her eyes and closed her hands "bring good health to all who need. Be there for my family and friends, for the ones in the hospital and the ones who have done wrong. Help those who need it and give guidance to those who are lost." She would say with sincerity " please lord take away the pain of others and give it to me so they don't have to deal with the pain"

A simple prayer she would repeated every night alone in her bed as she looked to the stars.

One day the little girl wandered apon her mother crying at the table.

"Mother what's wrong?" The child's voice said with a new fear in her eyes for seeing a mother cry is something a child never wants to see.

"Do you remember your friend?" The mother asked with a soft and fake smile to hide the tears as the girl nodded the mother continued

"I'm sorry my dear, your friend has died. She is gone and went to heaven." The mother spoke as her voice wavered trying to hold back tears.

The words struck the girl, as she never got to say goodbye
