"She starves herself, you know." Linda tells Jaime over coffee.
"What do you mean she 'starves herself'" Jaime asks with a puzzled expression twisted into his face.
"She loves you." Linda says, looking at the table.
"What does that have to do with starving herself though, and what is wrong with you today?" Jaime questions Linda, completely oblivious as to what was coming next.
"She starves herself because I know she loves you. Her eyes sparkle when she talks about you and the way her entire attention is glued to your every move... She thinks that she has to be skinny for you to love her too. She thinks she is too big for you because you keep flirting with littler people, people like me. She called me last night, she hadn't eaten all day. I had to come over and convince her that it was okay to eat and that starving herself wasn't the way to go, but I don't think she listened much." Linda explains, leaving Jaime almost in tears.
"Well, how do I tell her that she is perfect, that I like her the way she is, love her even?" He pleads.
"Tell her what you told me, exactly what you told me. Because then she will know."
