I follow her/him, staying far behind and careful not to make any noise. He stopped and turned around so I saw his face, it was Zander.
"Zander?" I called out to him.
He turned around and his face broke out in a smile, which is a very unlikely thing you'd see Zander Thorn do.
"Maple!" He came and gave me a tight hug, "How you holding up?" He quietly asked me.
I looked at him and made a gun with my fingers, holding it to my head.
He gave me a sympathetic frown, if that's even a thing.
"Well, listen I know I tell you this like everyday..."
"And twice on Tuesdays" I interrupted him, attempting a smile.
"But I'm always going to be here for you, no matter what. Here me?"
I nod. He puts his arm around my shoulder like a brother would to his little sister.
"That's good to hear, now let's go do something fun".
