Parisa Jahanzaib.

"Pari?"

I hear Mom calling me from downstairs as it's time for the school but I don't want to get up. I'm laying in my bed and groaning everytime she calls my name. At last I give up and push the covers from my body and slip out of my comfortable bed.

"Okay!" I shout back so that she would know that I'm awake now.

I brushed my teeth, took a quick shower and dressed myself in my usual attire. Dark blue Kurta (A shirt that ends above the knees maybe with a little bit of embroidery & worn by people in Pakistan) and blue jeans, they are not that tight. The neckline of the Kurta is embroidered with little flowers in pink colour. I did my hijab and then I applied my lip balm. Taking a final look I headed downstairs.

"Asslam-o-alaikum Mama." I say as I enter in the kitchen and saw her standing by the stove.

"Wa alaikum asalam." She says in her sweet voice.

I walked to the dining area and settled myself on the chair. A minute after my brother walks in with some papers in his hands.

"Salam Pari." He says as he glances at me with a smile on his face. I nod in reply.

He took his seat next to mine and piled the papers before placing them on the table.

"You okay?" I asked as I felt some sign of stress on his face.

He looked up at me and a he manages to give me a smile. "Yes, just worried about our presentation today."

"Oh. Best of Luck." I smile at him and just then Mum enters the room.

She placed a bowl of cereals in front of us and we started to eat. Mum smiled and walked out to wake my Dad up.

As soon as I finished I stood up and went to my room to grab my bag and wallet. When I came back Wali was standing by the door holding the handle and waiting for me to come. I ran to Mum and gave her a small kiss on cheek.

"Allah Hafiz." Me and Wali said in a unison and the we walked out.

Wali drives me to the school and then he goes to his university. He's currently in his fifth semester to BBA. He is an intelligent student. He is very creative and he has a sharp mind.

"Best of luck." I said as I hugged Wali and kissed his cheek.

"Thank You Pari." He says with a smile and then I hopped off the car.

School in Pakistan was easy maybe because I was young when I studied there but there was one more thing that made studies difficult here and that was no one was like me. They were all different from me. Mini skirts, short dresses, make ups and heels but I was complete opposite to it. I never wore make up just a lip balm or some liner. I never wore heels as they hurt so much. I don't find them comfortable. And mini skirts and short dresses I can not even imagine to wear.

"Pari!!" A voice screeching in my ear. As I turned around I saw a girl smiling at me.

Ayesha.

Ayesha was also a Muslim girl. She was from Turkey and she moved in England only four years ago. She has a little family just like mine. She has a younger brother and sister. She is the eldest. She is beautiful, smart and nice girl. She was very close to me as we were the same so I liked to be with her.

"You scared me." I said as I exhaled a deep breath.

She laughed and interlinked our arms. We had almost all the classes together except from English and Maths.

"Hey? Where you think you are going without me?"

We both turned around and saw a girl standing in front of us catching her breath.

"Hi." I say as I smiled at the girl.

Nicole is also my best friend. She has been my friend since I entered this school. She came to me when it was my first day in school. She helped me a lot to get to know about the school and the people. She was really nice girl and she was my only friend who was non-muslim.

"Hi, don't you dare to leave me again." She says jokingly.

We both laughed and walked to our lockers. Me and Ayesha had our first class together while Nicole wasn't with us. I grabbed my books and after few minutes, bell rang indicating that the class is starting.

"See ya later!" Nicole says and walks in the opposite direction.
