Chapter 2 - Meeting The Lost Boys

I woke up in the bed that Cameron first brought me to.

The last thing I remember was passing out after I was in the water.

I got up and realised that it was the next day so I went and took a shower.

I got dressed in overall shorts with a Pink sports bra underneath and some light pink converse, I put a little make-up on and lightly curled my hair and put a flowered cat ear head band on.

I put in my prescription glasses which are big and just black rimmed and then I went back into my room and Cameron was there.

He ran over to me and hugged me and I hugged him back.

"I was so worried about you."he said with tears brimming his eyes.

"Well, I am okay now...why did that man do that and who were they?"I asked him.

"That is John, he doesn't like trespassers, and he is second in command. The other boy was one of the 'lost boys' and he was just doing as told."he said.

"Oh, well could I meet the 'Lost Boys'?"I asked hopefully.

"I was waiting for you to ask that."he said with a smile.

We walked over to a smaller treehouse and he stopped me before we went in.

"Just so you know you are the only girl on the island except for the mermaids and they don't come out that often so they might be shocked to see you."he said to me.

"Ok...?"I replied but it ended up sounding like more of a question.

We walked in and there were about ten boys running around playing with things and a couple of older ones were sitting there watching them.

They all stopped when they saw me and then a small one said something.

"ATTACK."he shouted and then they started charging at me.

I looked at Cameron but he wasn't there anymore so I ran back outside and jumped out of the tree house.

They were all screaming while chasing me and even the older boys were.

The older boys got me and picked me up and tied me up in the tree house against a pole.

"Could you please let me go?"I asked

"No, why are you here?"one of them said.

"Don't ask me questions I don't know the answer to, and Cameron brought me here so can one of you go find him and tell him to come here."I said angrily.

The older boy rushed over to me and untied me quickly and kept apologising.

"It's fine, no harm done."I replied simply.

Cameron came up to me while laughing.

"What are you laughing at?"I asked

"Your-face...when they came-at you."he said in between laughs.

"It want funny, I was terrified."I said pretending to cry.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you."he said as he rushed over to me.

I looked up at him and smiled.

"You should have seen your face."I said as I laughed super hard.

He introduced me to all of the boys and they were all very nice and sweet.

We left and we walked to a cove and just sat there.

"Do you want to meet the mermaids?"he asked me out of nowhere.

"Um...sure."I said happily.

When I said that two girls walked out from behind a rock and they were very pretty.

"Rebekah, this is Addyson and Shelly."he introduced them.

"Hi nice to meet you."Addyson said to me sweetly.

"Hi, nice to meet you too."I said.

Shelley didn't say anything, she just stood there a glared at me.

"Wanna see something cool?" Addyson asked me.

"Sure."

She walked over to the ocean and stepped into it and after about ten seconds she fell to the ground and was a mermaid.

"Cool..."I said in disbelief.

Her tail was a light blue color with a hint of purple in it and her hair changed from blonde to the same color as her tail.

She got out of the water and Kaye's in the sand and put her hand over her tail and steam started coming up from it.

Next thing I knew she was back to her human form.

"That was so cool."I said as I ran up to her.

"I can tell you more about it is you want."she offered.

I nodded my head and we all walked along the beach while she was talking about it.

After me and Cameron left we went back to my room and we just sat in my bed and talked about random things.

I felt my eyes getting heavier and then I fell asleep.
