"Goodnight Chicago! Thank you so much for the awesome show! We are the Broken Deserter Pandemonium! I love you!"
I walked off the stage, jumped on Mike's back, and begged him to carry me the rest of the way. I had been feeling really worn out recently and this touring schedule didn't help at all. He carried me to our dressing room, placed me down on the sofa, and walked out. I stood up and walked over to my phone, which had been left back here charging. I had a text from Jess, reminding me of the promise I made to be at her last game of the season. Jess is a junior in High School; and she is currently playing field hockey.
Me: Of course! I wouldn't miss it for the world... when is it again?
Jess: August 3rd and you already HAVE the world. Don't act like you're not in one of the top bands in the world rn.
Me: Oh stop it you're making me blush, August 3rd... alright, I got you. That's in what a week? Perfect, I'll be in Maryland around then anyways. See you then, love ya!
Jess: You're so dumb. I already knew you'd be in town then. We've had this conversation. See you, you loser. I love you too... now leave me alone. <3
TIME SKIP TO THE GAME
As I was looking around, trying to find my mom, I accidentally knocked into someone and fell.
"Shit! Shit! I'm so so sorry! It was my fault I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking." I finally stopped apologizing when I heard the sexiest laugh that I have ever heard. I looked up and found myself staring at a pair of dark brown eyes.
"It's okay, really. I wasn't paying attention either." Oh fuck, a British accent, you might as well just kill me now. "I'm actually completely lost. I'm here looking for a place to sit and watch my little sister play, could I maybe sit with you?"
"Sure. I'm looking for my mom, my younger sister is playing too. I totally forgot to introduce myself! Hi! My name is Theia."
"A beautiful name. I'm Elijah. Now, lets go find your mother."
Elijah, as I figured was originally from Manchester. His parents moved to the states so he was here visiting them and his younger sister. He is an actor and he was just hired to star in a new Netflix original. His hair was chocolate brown, skin tinted with summer tan, and a smile that would put the sun to shame.
We found my mother eventually and sat with her. She gave me a look when I introduced them to each other that screamed 'I know you think he's cute.' After the game I saw his little sister run up to him just as mine ran to me.
"Theia! You're here!"
"So I am, congrats on the win, your final pass was amazing." Jess was already bored with me as she ran towards her friends. I laughed and started walking towards my car, I'd see her back at home.
"Hey! Theia! Hold on a second!" I heard Elijah say. I turned and he was jogging over to me.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked, praying he was trying to get me number. My prayers were answered when he politely requested my number and to meet up some time in the near future. I agreed and after exchanging numbers I walked to my car with a grin I couldn't control on my face.
Soon I was back on tour and my texting with Elijah went from all the time to maybe three times a week. We were supposed to meet up soon but our schedules just didn't match. I'd figure it out though, I really really liked him.
