"You can come back with me... if you are." An older man suggests. I shift uncomfortably and shake my head.

"I- I'm not lost. I have an aunt somewhere...I just need to find her and she'll let me stay." I say. He nods and looks at me on concern.

"Your lips bleeding." He observes.

"I'm fine." I say. He hums and crosses his arms.

"What's her name... I can help you find her." He says. I look at him in suspicion.

"I think I can find my way." I say. He tilts his head and crosses his arms.

"You don't trust me?" He asks. I look at him in confusion. Why would he think I could trust a stranger who is randomly hanging out in the woods. It doesn't quite create a comfortable era.

"I just don't know what to think..." I lie. He nods.

"I know. Sorry if I seem so forward you just look and smell familiar." He says. My hair stands up on my arms.

"Smell?" I queation with a weak voice. His eyes widen.

"I mean your natrual scent. The wind is blowing it this way." He says hastily. I back up and he sighs.

"Clearly I'm not to good at this." He says before turning around.

"Nina." I whisper. He stops and turns to look at me. "That's my Aunts name." I say a little louder looking down at my nails that have become extremely interesting in the last second.

"I know her. We used to date. She lives right through there. You'll pass a rock with a carving on it." He tells me. "After that just go straight until you reach a gate. You should be able to climb over."

I nod and turn around listening closely to make sure he wasn't following me. Once I was sure he wasn't I began to go in the direction he had pointed out.

What if he was tricking me and he was going to ambush me and take me away. I didn't get away from my father just to be taken by someone else. Stopping to look around I realized that if he was going to ambush me I wouldn't be able to get away. But I couldn't just not see if she was there. What If she was and I was to scared to make sure and I got lost in these woods... or worse. What if my father came back and found me.

There were to many risk to take if I didn't go. I'll just stick to the trees so if he is going to ambush me he won't see me. I begin to walk again and curve into the trees. Making sure to keep close enough to the treeline so I could see the objects but far enough to not be seen.

Soon I reached the rock and carefully circled around it looking for the carving. It was located on the front of the rock, a small wolf print. I admired it for a bit before continuing down the path, ducking back into the woods. I just have to go straight from here.

My mother, who says she was once a shapeshifter told me about a carving on a rock. Maybe it was the same one.My dad told me she was just crazy and didn't know what she was talking about. But I always felt like a part of me was missing. I always believed, there has to be truth in my mothers words.

If its true it means I once had a wolf too. I just wish I could get her back.

Suddently I feel a sharp shove and my back hit against a nearby tree. Once I snapped out of my daze I realized a boy pinning me to the tree. His blue eyes glared at me viscously.

"Um, hi?" I say as soon as I caught my breath. Something about this person didnt scare me. Even though he had me pinned against the tree with no way to get away.

"What are you doing here?" He growled.

"Um. Finding my aunt." I say like its obvious.

"What?" He asks.

"Yea, she lives through there." I say pointing past him. He follows my movement and slowly releases me.

"You mean Nina." He says and runs his hand through his hair.

"Yea my aunt." I reply and continue down the path.

"Hey. If your lieing, you do know we have a fighting force that you wouldn't be able to get away from." He warns.

"What do you mean?" I ask. He looks suprised as I leave him behind to find the house. As I leave I feel my sense of security leave me and I find myself walking back into the woods.

As I stop I could still feel his presence behide me. So I turned aroud and seen him looking at me like he was lost.

"Uh, do you want to go with me to go see my aunt?" I questioned but quickly look down at my nails.

"No. I mean if you want me to I would love to." He said scratching the back of his neck.

"I don't care only if you tell me your name."I said walking to him.

"Sure. My name is Luke." He said putting his hand out for me to shake it.

As I put my hand in his hand. He pulled back and growled and then growled at me again.

"Why do you keep growling at me?" I asked quickly moving away. Was this all a trick? My breathing increased and I cautiously begin to walk again.

"You don't feel it"? He said pulling back.

"Feel what?" I asked looking down at my hands and begin to fiddle with them.

"Nevermind." He said looking down. "I gotta go." He says and turns around before rushing into the trees. I watch in confusion before turning back. The gate was only a few feet away.

As soon as I get to it I feel relief course through me. My aunt was bent over her plants digging and pulling out weeds. I quickly climb over the gate and rush to her.

"Aunt Nina!" I squealed. She looked up quickly and gasped as I stopped in front of her. I see her watch me in confusion. Does she not remember me?

"Alexandria?" She questions. I smile and wrap my arms around her. "It is you... Alexandria, how did you get here?" She asks.

"Sorry If it was unexpected. " I say releasing her.

"No, no I've been wanting to take you from your father since your mother died." She said.

"I just didn't know he let you go." She breathes. Does she think he let me go? Would she send me back if she knew I ran away?

"Yea he did." I lied.
