"Where were you?" Rowan narrowed his eyes at his brother. "Nowhere." Grimm mumbled. The hallway to his chamber was dark, save for the glow of the torches. "I don't believe you." Grimm tried to push past his brother. Rowan grabbed his arm. "I saw you climb in the window. " Grimm cursed under his breath. "Where did you go?" Rowan repeated. "I went for a walk." Grimm lied. "I know you're lying. If you were going for a walk you would've gone out the front entrance." Rowan was smart. He picked up on the flaws of Grimm's lie. "Fine. I wasn't going for a walk." Grimm sighed, exasperated. "You were meeting someone, weren't you?" Rowan lowered his voice. "Who is it?" Just like any typical sibling, Rowan wanted to know all the details. "No one." Grimm said. "Oh come on, Grimm." Rowan raised an eyebrow. "You can tell me you know." That's the thing. Grimm couldn't tell him. "I'm tired. Can we just talk about this tomorrow or something?" Grimm didn't want to talk about this anymore. He's already said too much. Rowan picked up on the fact that he was hiding something. "You're not meeting someone from another tribe are you?" Grimm didn't reply. "You know that's dangerous!" Rowan scolded him. "I know!" Grimm sighed. "Please don't tell dad. He'll have my head." Rowan shook his head, disappointment on his face. Rowan was always the good child. He always followed the rules. Grimm was a rebel. Even at a young age he was testing his boundaries. Rowan didn't say anything. He just gave Grimm a disapproving look. Both boys returned to their rooms.
