Skylar had been on the Pitch Perfect 2 set since early morning so Anna, being close by, decided to pay him a little visit. She checked in with security to park and started walking towards a large gathering of cast and crew. She immediately saw Brittany, "hey, is Skylar around here?" "Oh, hey!!! I'm so glad you're here!" Brittany grabbed her for a hug. "Yeah I came down for lunch to see Sky." "Cute! You guys are so cute." Anna's cheeks flushed, she always felt a bit awkward when people started talking about her and Skylar. "Oh sorry!" Brittany said, noticing Anna looking a bit embarrassed, "Anyways he's either in his trailer or hair and makeup. I know he and Kendrick are about to film something outside." "Cool thanks, it was good to see you too." Anna smiled and then began walking towards the long row of trailers. She finally found sky's but when she got to the door she heard him talking. 'How cute? He's rehearsing right before the scene. Very Skylar to wait until the last minute.' she thought. She knocked lightly and Skylar stopped talking suddenly but didn't respond to the knock. She knocked louder, again. "Guess who?" she beckoned through the door. Skylar quickly sighed in relief, hearing Anna's voice. He walked to the door and cracked it open just a tiny bit. "Who is it?" he asked, trying to put on a mean voice. "You know who it is, nerd. Open the door." Anna called in. 'He's such a dork.' she thought, rolling her eyes. "Sorry don't know you, can't open the door." He quickly shut the door and pushed against it to keep it closed. "Skylar. Come on. That's enough joking around. I'm hungry and I want to see your stupid face." Anna said, growing a bit impatient. Skylar opened the door finally. Anna noticed how cute he looked in the short sleeve button up and tight jeans. It was actually kind of hot. She shook the thoughts out quickly though and embraced him. He kissed the top of her head breathing in the way her hair always smelled. "You smell good. I missed you." he said. "I missed you too that's why I came down here!" she said releasing him from the hug. Apparently Skylar wasn't done yet because he didn't let go. She pulled away slightly and he said "Wait. I want a kiss first." he tilted his head down. Anna gave him a quick peck. "Come on! You haven't seen me all day and that's all I get? A little peck?" Skylar whined. Anna pulled away from his arms though and said "Oh please. You see me everyday, all the time. You're fine." Skylar moved forward and lightly smacked her butt. "Sky! Oh my god!" Anna said quickly staring at him. "What?" he asked with a puzzled look. "We're like...at work... someone could just walk in." she replied nervously. Anna was still a little uneasy around other people when they were together. She's not really the PDA type. Skylar never understood the odd boundaries she had. He made a mental note to keep his hands to himself for a bit. Suddenly a loud knock on the door shook them both from their thoughts. "Skylar, it's time." He grabbed Anna's hand and pulled her. "Aren't you gonna get nervous like with me watching?" Anna asked. "No, it's fine silly." Skylar and her walked towards where the scene was set up. He gave her a small kiss on the cheek before walking away. When he reached the car he turned around again and she gave him the thumbs up not knowing exactly what scene this was. Then it dawned on her as Kendrick walked on set, 'ugh they're gonna kiss...' she thought. She almost started to panic. The thought of her boyfriend kissing someone else....not just someone but her very good friend...yuck. Oh well. She'd just have to stick it out. Almost immediately Skylar screwed up and called out "wait. Wait! Does she start or do I start?" Gosh. After a few takes they finally exited the car. Kendrick tilted her head up and Anna had to close her eyes. When she opened Kendrick was walking away and then she saw Skylar reach his hand out and smack her butt just like he'd done to Anna all the time at home. Kendrick didn't seem to react much but Anna saw her cheeks get red. They called cut and Sky walked over to her. "Yeah I kinda forgot to mention-" Anna cut him off, "I know I figured it out soon enough. It's fine let's just go get food." "Um, alright sure let me go get my keys." Skylar responded, unsure how to feel. He didn't have a clue as to why she was upset. Anna didn't know whether to mention it or not. After an awkward lunch she headed back to their hotel room to relax until he got home, mulling over the scenario over and over again. 'That obviously wasn't scripted. Did he just do it out of habit? Or something else? No. I'm not going down that road. Geez but what if...no! Oh well. I'll mention it later. He's probably clueless anyways.', her thoughts rushed around her head. Finally, she heard the loud click of the hotel door unlock. Skylar opened the door slow and quiet in case Anna had fallen asleep. When he saw her sitting up on the bed, he slipped in and let the door close on its own. Suddenly, Skylar got a bad feeling. Anna looked as if she'd been waiting for him which is almost never good. "Hey baby, what's wrong?" he asked softly, approaching the bed. He sat down by her and drew her into his arms. It felt good for Anna to be wrapped up in his arms, inhaling his scent. She almost didn't mention earlier but it just kept gnawing on her. She looked up then pulled away. "Um actually I wanted to talk..." she said quietly, almost at a whisper. "Okay, what is it?" Sky asked rubbing her back with his nails. "Well today...something kind of...unnerved me. When you guys... kissed. But it wasn't that it's what happened after." She couldn't even look him in the eye. She felt so stupid all of a sudden but he reassured her silently by squeezing her shoulder. "You like...you did that thing." she couldn't muster up the words. "The what?" Sky said, puzzled. He wasn't sure where this was going. "You like...touched her butt. It was...weird. It was just uncomfortable for everyone." Skylar was actually relieved knowing it was that simple. "Ohhhh. Yeah. That was uh. Yeah. Instinct. What can I say?" he said, feeling pretty embarrassed. He was hoping no one noticed that little mishap. He just caught up in everything. "Hey." he said sternly pulling her chin up so she was looking at him "I'm sorry, baby. I really didn't mean that. You know I love you! I love you and your butt." He kissed her forehead and pulled her back into him. "Yeah I know." Anna sighed. "You know what would probably make this better though?" Anna asked. Skylar knew that cheeky face she had on. "Sex?" he asked praying that was what she meant. "Yes. Please. Nothing makes me feel better than that." she said winking at him and lying back. All the insecurities they had were washed away within a matter of minutes.
