A fun idea for a story to me is always a dystopia story. It seems like no one knows what it is though! Dystopia is best explained as a messed up society, where everything is different. Take Divergent for example. There are different groups with the same personality. You can't have more than one personality or you are a 'danger'. Or Hunger Games, some have it better than others. Capitol rules over all of the districts. The slaughtering of children is the main form of entertainment. Messed up! Honestly, dystopia stories are the most interesting ones to read. Create your own little strange society, and make a story of it!
