Deep sea

It was one of the most exciting days in a kids life, their birthday. Today I would turn 6 years old! My god mother was really nice and had offered to take me to an amusement park to celebrate since I had never been to an amusement park in my short life.

I stood next to my god mother swinging front to back on my heels looking around curiously. My eyes lighted up when I saw a huge talking tree surrounded by small kids and their parents. After my god mother bought the tickets I skipped ahead getting lost in the middle of the sea of people. Being the little child I am, I didn't care for my god mothers call to not go on by myself. She kept on trying to get me to listen but I ignored her desperate calls. What could go wrong? There's adults all around and I could just go to the info stand to ask them help if I got lost.

I slipped between the adults, teens and other kids that were going their own ways not minding others, just like me. I wanted to get to the talking tree, about a mile from where I was, that I saw from the ticket stand.  More and more people got in my line of sight till it got to the point I couldn't see the big, talking, kind of creepy and mesmerizing three anymore. I pushed my way through the mass of people, having a little bit of struggle with the task, but when I finally got through what I saw was not the tree I was expecting.

Instead of the three I saw a huge deep pool filled with dark intimidating water in the shape of a circle with a long bridge in the middle. I froze in place, not knowing what to think. There was no one on the other side, I turned around to see... nothing? I turned back with horror in my eyes. One of my biggest fears was being completely alone, and the fear of sea and deep water didn't help.

I walked around the huge pool trying to find anything.  I started to panicking, running around trying to find anything or anyone that could help me out of this place. I stopped running, panting hard when I heard a splat kind of sound from the big round pool. I couldn't see clearly what it was but it was a dark long figure and it was big. Taking a closer look it looked like a fish, no a whale.

I held my breath, ever since I saw a whale for the first time I had grown a fear for them. They were so big and intimidating, they could swallow me whole without even realizing it. Nonetheless I was kinda curious, which isn't always a good thing. I took a hold of the railing and stepped on my tip toes to see better and looked at the huge mammal that was now somewhat staring back.

I faintly heard a familiar voice calling for me for me from the other side. I was startled so I slipped, lost my balance and fell over the railing. I tried to take hold of the rail again before it was too late but I couldn't reach it anymore.

There I was, free falling to a huge sea full of fear and what seemed to be my death. I looked to the direction where the voice came from but there was no one, just another side of the pool. I looked up to the sky crying calm tears that would not last long. I said good bye to my family in my mind as I was dangerously nearing the surface of the dark water. The last thing I remember is my orange dress flailing around me as I hit the harsh cold surface of the water.
