Chapter 2!

The next day Maya already had to go to school.

Her mother wasn't at home.

Not that she expectet it, no, but it would've been great to have a last hug or some nice words on the first day of a new school.

Dissapointed she walked out of the flat, without eating but she didn't have to.

After slaming the door she walked over to a big house only two streets away. Other people would've waited in front of the door, but Maya took the fire escape to climb into it.

'It was simpler in New York' Maya thought when she finally arrived in front of a big window.
But they were lucky to still have one, and they both knew. Maya could never use the door!
Riley sat on her bed, already waiting for Maya. She was a tall girl with long, brown hair and a nice smile, that she gave Maya right now. 'Peaches' she screamed, giving her a big hug.

Even if Maya rolled her eyes now, she was happy Riley moved to Texas too and she wouldn't be alone under Cowboys. She was her best friend and Maya couldn't live without her.

While talking they walked into the livingroom.
Maya said Hello to mr. and mrs Mathews and sat down to eat, like she always did back in New York.
After eating they grabed their books and left home.

At school:

Lucas was sitting on his chair when they came inside. Two girls, one of them with brown hair, the other one... fuck, it was Maya! The girl from yesterday, the new neighbour!
She seemed to realize that too and sat down on the chair behind him.
'Hey Lucas' she slowly said 'Already went in jail or is climbing in other's houses the only thing you do?'
'You wanna play?' He thought and anwsered with a big smirk:

'Actually, your room is the only one I climb into.'

'Then stop'

Before Lucas could replie the teacher came in and interrupted them. He was thankfull for that, he didn't know what to awnser Maya anyway.
While the teacher began talking, Lucas stared at Maya's hair.

It was very long and straight today, and somehow it reminded him on...no, no, that wasn't possible. She couldn't be...But yesterday, when he was talking to her, she called him a huckleberry. Was it possible? Was she ...? No, when she talked to him a second ago she was able to speak with normal words. She wasn't her, she was just another regular girl sitting in class.
Lucas shock his head, he had to stop!
She put her arm on his desk, and once more it reminded him on...
