"Well isn't it such a delight to meet you.", the man purred as he glanced at the frazzled Jack. An amused smirk appeared on his features as he grasped the handle of a flowery pink suitcase and a navy blue plain one.
Jack was just too stunned to even speak. She recognized such a thick, raspy British accent from anywhere. Of course she wouldn't admit so, because her head would have a bullet lodged inside the second she would dare speak his name. Or at least, the name he was known by in her and Ruby's "community".
"The name is River. Pleasure to meet you...What is your name?", he asked, continuing on the conversation as he set those bags by each of his sides.
"Jack.", she muttered, squinting her eyes towards the man. She quickly adjusted into a plain faced facade and retrieved her bags as Ruby and another female walked together up to them, talking and laughing.
As Jack sat the bags down, a laughing Ruby looked at River.
"Ohhh, you must be River! Your fiance told me all about you.", Ruby smiled, completely obliviously as to who exactly she was speaking and being nice to.
At the word 'fiance', River's brows arched, but he plastered a tight smile on anyways.
"Ah, yes..I am the.. Fiance. Nice to meet you..I am.presumming you and this lady here are traveling together?", River asked, imitating a near flawless american accent as he gestured towards the short haired girl beside him. It nearly caused Jack's jaw to unhinge, but quickly she hid it when he gestured.
"Yes, we are. This is Jack, my girlfriend. We're a lesbian couple.", Ruby hummed proudly as she snaked her tattooed arm tightly around Jack's thin hourglass physique.
"Congratulations, you two..", River trailed off in a slight purr as he glanced between the two and slowly slid his arm around Maisy, who was twiddling with her long brunette hair out of anxiousness.
"Well, Maisy and I were talking. I heard you two needed a ride. We got a rental car in the parking lot. If you want to, you can catch a ride with us.", Ruby offered with a polite but forced smile.
"N-"
"Yes, that'd be wonderful! Thank you!", Maisy interuppted River with a squeal of acceptance. River on the other hand, wasn't too thrilled about the offer and was about to decline. Maisy answering for him only caused him to send her a quick glare of annoyance.
"Well, great! Let's go.", Ruby mused happily and took both her and Jack's suitcases. River picked up Maisy's and his and all four started to exit down to the parking garage.

After reaching the car and packing everything in.

"I call shot gun!", A giggling Maisy called before either Jack or River could claim such. This only lead to a slight pout on both expressions, and a wide mocking grin on Maisy. She ran around the sleek white van and slipped onto the tan leather seats.
"I'm driving, obviously. So you to can sit wherever and chat.", Ruby mused before opening her door and slipping behind the wheel.
In an instant, Jack opened the back door and crawled in. Instead of pulling the lever on the side to lower the seats, she just climbed over them like a goofball until she reached the back seat. She bent over the third seat to fiddle with her suitcase. In the front pocket, there was a pair of acid green ear buds, which she instantly grasped.
After zipping up her suitcase, she plopped down into the seat and stretched her slim, slenderlegs across the seat. She shufed around until she pulled her phone from her behind pocket.
Jack plugged the ear buds into the large phone and clicked on her music library.
As she was about to click on one of her favorite songs, there was a tap on her left thigh. She lifted her discolored irises to meet the gaze of the other person. They were a beautiful shade of emerald green; River.
"May I sit beside you?", she mumbled in a low voice as he lifted both of her legs. Before she could respond, he had already taken the seat and had her legs on his lap.
The car roared to life, and they were off.
Jack scowled a little and quickly moved her legs away. She swiveled to the best of her abilities to face the front.
"Oh, just what I have always dreamed of. A trouble in my 'paradise'.", she muttered as she focused her gaze outside the window.
