Chapter 16

Neville's POV

The person I love the most, the only person that understands me, the only one who trusts me, is gone. This morning, I woke up to the smell of tears and blood, and realized, that I hadn't been killed, I was just asleep. I walk cautiously out of our makeshift home, and over to the oak tree. I quickly glance down at Luna, her hair plastered to her face with blood, her eyes staring through me. Tears filled my eyes. I walk slowly around the tree, and sit in the other side, unable to see Luna any longer.

"I'm sorry," I whisper." I should have been there. I shouldn't have ever left your side." I started to feel sick, and knelt over, resting my head on my knees. Everyone else heard me, and sprinted outside. Ginny was the first out, her arm wrapped around my shoulder, her eyes sparkled with tears. She smiled at Harry, and everyone else left.

" I understand. George was my best friend. He helped through everything." She said tears pouring down her face."even when I didn't need help. He was there by my side. But you know how I got through it? With Luna," I was now sobbing loudly onto Ginny's shoulder. I lifted my head from Ginny's bloodstained shirt, and looked at her to explain. "She gave me advice. 'Don't forget remember, and move on.' That's what she told me. Neville don't ever forget about Luna. But, it's okay, to move on. She wouldn't want you to be this upset." I watched as Ginny got up, but I didn't follow. She came back seconds later with an odd necklace. It had a light purple chain with a small bottle on it. On the bottle their was a label that said ' to keep the nargles away'. I smiled at Ginny, and slipped the necklace over my head. We walked back into the tent, and sat down as though nothing had happened. Harry kept glaring at me, but I ignored him. We sat down, and ate some pudding, that Hermione had made in honor of Luna. I smiled, and quickly ate it, hoping to take a nap.

Grr... I was going to have someone die in this chapter, but it's hard to think of ideas I'm open to suggestions. Also, please tell me fanfics you think I should read.
