The night breeze was soothing and cool. It was the kind of breeze that one would notice and praise, but not the interrupting kind of breeze. Subtlety, and calm was in the air.

Sam had invited Chris to sit on the ledge outside her window. She had a glass of red wine with a her. She poured some for Chris too. He smelled so good even at a distance, she noticed.

"So, I haven't asked this in a while, Chris, but...are you ever planning to win an Oscar", she smirked at first and then couldn't help but giggle.

"Only if you get me an Oscar worthy film, my manager", he replied, smiling.

"C'mon Chris you know that's cakewalk for me", Sam said, smirking again, and laughing.

They drank wine for some time, and talked about various things.

"You've never told me about yourself, I mean you know practically everything about me, i'm an open book since you're my manager and all..", Chris wanted to know.

"What do you want to know, Chris? I'm 25 years old. I am from a place called Mumbai, well, I was born there, and I grew up in New York."

"Not those things, mate. Stuff about you, your family....but only if you're comfortable, Sam, I don't want to pry",Chris said.

"Umm, my dad died in an accident when I was 16...and so it's me who's trying to raise money for my little sister's education, uni and stuff", Sam said. She wasn't looking at Chris anymore. She was looking down, probably feeling ashamed.

Chris hadn't known about Sam's father. He didn't even know about her sister and the financial problems. But, those didn't make him feel sorry for her, it made him look at Sam as a strong independant girl, who was supporting her family with so much confidence and determination.

"You're a strong girl, Samantha. What you're doing is so commendable, I respect you" and love you said his mind.

"Thanks, Chris, I try to support them the best I can.", she said, "What about you, and your many female companions, how are they!?", she said, smirking.

"In love with me, madam, what can I say!", he mused.

" I was so busy I forgot to ask you this, how do you get so many girls?", she said with a smile on her face.

"Well I am Australian, you know", he smirked, " We're the hot surfer dudes."

At this, Sam couldn't help but laugh really loudly, remebering an inside joke she had cracked with Alan, the director of Thor.

"What is it?", Chris asked, dubiously with a hint of a smile.

"Well, for Thor, I had cracked a joke about you with Alan. I'd told him, jokingly, not to cast you in the fear that you would make Thor an Australian by saying stuff like 'Oi mate, where's the hamma", she imitated Chris and laughed uncontrollably this time.

Hearing the joke, even Chris couldn't control himself he was laughing so much!! Here they were, on a ledge, looking at the view, laughing so much they were rolling. For a moment there, Chris paused, the world around him stopped. She looked like an angel in the moonlight. Those earrings, which he loved. Her beauty was so prominent in the moonlight, and she was tall, and slender. He knew this was wrong, to look at her this way, but he couldn't help himself.

Sam saw Chris staring at her. "What're you looking at, big boy," she asked with a smile.

"You.", he replied.

"You're beautiful", he said and reached his hand out, behind her ear, on her neck, cupping her cheek.

Sam's expression changed. She could not want this, but she wanted it.

"Chris,please..."

He didn't let her complete her sentence.

"So beautiful", he repeated, leaning over to her.

Chris was so close now, his every breath was her breath. His long eyelashes sweeped the skin about her eyes, her forehead. She closed her eyes, not wanting it to disappear when she opened them again.

Chris had looked at Sam, yes, but he observed her now, looking at her every expression. Those eyes, that face. He had longed to kiss her.

And so he did.

Sam felt Chris lips on hers. She raised her hand to his face. His lips were soft, they tasted of red wine, like hers. They were warm. She had never felt this way before. She had never been kissed like this.

Chris wanted this. He wanted her. His arm trailed up to her waist. Her lips were moving in coordination, they were so delicate, she was so beautiful. She slowly pulled away, but her forehead still with his.

"I should go", said Chris, in a whisper.

"You should.", said Sam. She wanted for him to stay longer, hold her. She knew it was wrong. A manager couldn't have a relationship with their boss. Her hand was still on his cheek. His hand was still on her waist. He didn't want to let go. No.

He didn't want to let her go.
