Alexis turned slowly, trying to keep her tears from falling. Well this is for the best, she thought heart broken, thank you Jaden. She looked over her shoulder at the crystal clear water with a bitter sweet smile. She felt the tears roll down her cheeks as she slowly began her walk back towards the blue dorm.

As Jaden reached his room, he looked back at the cliff, at the girl he'd left standing there. No, this isn't how it ends, he thought, I'm not having any regrets. With his newfound resolve he leapt down the stairs and ran as fast as he could towards Alexis' retreating figure.

"Alexis!"

Alexis turned, her tears glistening on her pale skin.

"Do you remember our first duel together?" Jaden asked, out of breath from his sprint, head bowed as he caught his breath.

"Of course Jay," she said, voice shaking slightly. He straightened

"And my duel against Harrington, and me saving you from the Society of Light and--,"

"Jaden I'll never forget those moments as long as I live, but why are you bringing them up?" Alexis asked shaking her head, confused. He brought his head up and said, "We've had some fun time haven't we Lexi?" she nodded and let him resume," and I never want to stop having fun with you Alexis, never." Jaden trailed off. He lowered his eyes and whispered softly. Jaden raised his head and looked her directly in the eye. With a deep breath he said, "Alexis, from the moment I met you I've loved you. Every time I see you I fall in love all over again. I don't want to have any regrets and I know that if I let you go I'll never forgive myself." Alexis had her hand covering her mouth as a fresh set of tears streamed down her face. He saw this and stepped forward to hug her, pulling her in tight trying his hardest not to cry himself. Suddenly Alexis shoved him back. Jaden stumbled and fell onto the grass. "Wh-?" he started to say when his lips were suddenly occupied. A jolt of electricity ran through Jaden. He opened his eyes to see Alexis there, eyes inches from his own. Her brown eyes never broke from his as they broke apart. Alexis sat back, giving Jaden a look of pure love. "Jaden Yuki, you are without a doubt the stupidest man alive," Alexis said. Jaden blushed deeply, then wrapped her in a hug. He buries his head in the crook of her neck. Alexis is shocked for a second then pushes Jayden away slightly.

"Jaden...I love you too. From the moment I met you," Alexis whispered in Jaden's ear. And I do, I really do Alexis though.

"Lex, than-," Jaden was once again cut of as Alexis's lips touched his own. A sudden ear shattering siren went off.

"Damn! That curfew bell. And just when things were getting good," Jaden said annoyed that they'd been interrupted. Alexis swatted him, embarrassed.

"Hey lover boy I can hear you!" Alexis said, although she was feeling the same way. She didn't want to leave. She wanted this moment to last a lifetime.

"Guess this is our signal to go Lex," Jaden said subdued. Nodding her head Alexis rose to leave not sure of how to say good bye. No not unsure, more like not wanting to say goodbye, she though. Alexis turned, ready to walk back to her dorm when Jaden grabbed her arm and spun her around. Before she could react Jaden kissed her, stunning her in the process.

"Gotcha Lex," and with that Jaden walked back to his dorm. Alexis touched her lip feeling the tingling that Jaden had left there. And with that she walked back to the dorm, a feeling of happiness spreading through her with each step.
