Its May 21, 2006, three days after the accident. I'm still struggling and it still hasn't fully gone through my head that five of my best friends where killed in a fire. We where on are way home from are final basketball game in Oshawa, Ontario. Four guys decided to stay the night at Jacobs. Kevin, John and I figured we shouldn't because we had a long day and we needed some rest. We all got dropped off and I went to bed right away. It wasn't until the next morning when I was eating breakfast and I took a glance at the TV and noticed that there had been a fire last night in are local community. The news motioned that 5 young men had died around 16 years of age. I quickly started to panic and called my friend Jacob. No answer. I jumped in my dads car a drove to his house. When I arrived everything that could go horribly wrong, did. His house was black, burnt, and a terrible scene. An officer had then told me that my teammates and friends had died. My heart dropped and I couldn't believe it.
