"To your Dormitories! Now!" Mr.Takagawa yelled, his face ashen. "Follow your prefects!"

We didn't say a word, we never did say a word to the head master, he always received perfect silence as a sign of respect but as soon as we were back in our dormitory, a perfect babble broke out. I said nothing, the buzz of the other student's chatter washed over me as I remembered that bloodcurdling scream, the very reason that we had left our dormitories after curfew in the first place.

I vaguely noted that someone sat beside me but I was far too engrossed in my own thoughts to see who it was.

"It was Naho." the person whispered in my ear.

I turned abruptly to see William, my best friend sitting beside me.

"Repeat." I said, stunned at the information that he had so casually given me.

"She-" he began, but was cut off when the head of our dormitory called lights out and Will was forced to go to his own bed. Giving me an apologetic look he walked back to his bed, just as Micheal switched the lights off.

What could Will have possibly meant when he said 'Naho', he couldn't possibly mean that Naho was the one who screamed could he?

My name is Takeru Eito, I am 18 and in my final year at Takagawa Institute which is the most renowned school in the world, people come from around the world just to study here , like William, my best friend, he's British.

Naho Takagawa is an exceptionally bright student, two years junior to me and the head master's daughter, not exactly the type to do the dumb things that most students do, so associating her with screaming like that was an odd thought.

Sleeping, I decided was a futile attempt as I knew very well that when I was curious about something I couldn't rest until my curiosity was satisfied so I abandoned the attempt and pulled on a black sweater over my pale pyjamas and donned a pair of rubber soled shoes so that no none would hear me as I walked.

Yes, I was sneaking out, and that night I really did learn that ignorance could be bliss.
