Chapter 2

I pulled over outside my big office. This muti-stories building used to be a grocery store which is now closed for over a year. I bought this place when I got back to Britain. There is a small plastic board on the side of the front door saying “Tom’s Private Investigation”. Yep, it’s my company’s name. This place is close to the town; but not too noisy and noticeable. I also love the fact that there’re three floors including the basement. The ground floor is my company’s office and the first floor is for residential use. Because Niall and Zayn, two of my favorite killers, don’t have a place to stay. Sometimes I would stay at the company as well, it’s my second home. For the basement, for sure it is for the storage of the firearms, weapons and a closet.

Zayn Malik followed me from America as I moved back to England. He used to work for my rival’s company in New York. There’s one time when my rival decided that it would be a nice idea to take me down so they could take over my business. It was one big mistake. Another big mistake was to send Zayn, who were new to this business, to hunt down someone like me, full of experiences. Zayn’s first attempt failed. And he exposed himself to me; so when I got back to my office; the first thing I did was to call a police friend and find out who the heck was that boy.

When he came to me again and made his second attempt, I simply told him to betray his own boss and come to help me. I told him that I knew he has sisters and I knew he is only doing this because someone held his sisters’ lives against him. I also promised him that I would guarantee his family’s safety. He told me everything and cooperated with me. I taught him the right ways to follow and kill; and then I taught him how to get close to his boss without him suspecting and just kill him. He scared that his boss’s other employees would harm his family, but of course, I sent people to protect them. I even rent a flat next to theirs so I could watch them and protect them 24/7 by myself. After Zayn killed my rival, I took over his business. The boss’s assistant sold the company to me and took the money. Because I ‘saved’ his family, Zayn is 100% loyal to me. Three years have passed; he is now trained by me to become one of the best killers. To me; he is also a friend, a brother, a partner. He is someone who I can talk to.

Niall Horan is introduced by Zayn not long after we arrived in England. He is from Ireland and used to work at a local strippers company. He was quite respected. But the police there took place a large scale operation and wiped out almost all the strippers business. He was jailed for a few years. When he got out, his old bosses blamed him for the money they lost during the police’s operation and were determined to make him a dead man. So he decided to move to London to find a new job; save some money and start all over. He is so young; he has all the time he needs. When Zayn met him in a local mall’s restroom, he was cleaning the blocked toilet. Zany said he was mumbling about how big and wealthy he was and then he has to do the literally dirty and stinky job. We found this blonde boy is quite interesting so we have one of our employees; Harry Styles locked on to his police account and accessed the file of Niall. Didn’t I mention that we have local polices and FBI working for us? Harry is one of our undercover. He is no ordinary cops, he is a homicide detective. He has access to all kind of files of all kind of criminals. But he never kills, that’s was his only request when we signed him up. Niall has quite a lot of criminal history. Besides running prostitution business; also some violence history. Holy crap! This boy blinded one of his classmates’ eyes by stabbing a ball pen into it when he was only 10! I have to admit he was better than me.

So Zayn talked to him and asked him if he wants to be big and rich again. He gave Niall our address and told him to sign up if he is interested. On the next day, he came with all the excitement and signed up to be one of us. Niall doesn’t seem to have a lot of respect in women; he always says “the girls throw themselves at me, how can I say no to the cute ladies?” But I know he only says this to pretend to be a bad boy. The truth is he never really slept with a prostitute or call girl. How do I know? Well, I have some lady friends who are in this kind of business. Just like Zayn, Niall cares about his family a lot. So to me, he is a good person.
