It was a horrible day at Rangel. No homework was given, the sound of excitement filled the air, and it was the evilest day you could think of... Friday the 13th.
"No homework today, guys." Mr. Nichols says.
"N-no... homework? What do you mean?"
"There's no homework." He says, with an awkward grin.
Angelina groans and says, "This is good luck for a day like this! Just enjoy it."
My eye twitches frantically.
"Good luck?! What will I do this weekend?"
"Um... talk to your friends? Watch TV?" Joy says.
I decide to stay quiet because my classmates might hate me if I beg for homework. After a few minutes, the bell rings and I am the last one to leave.
"Mr. Nichols, can you give ME homework?"
"I'm afraid I don't have anything for you to do..." He says, raising his brow.
I groan, and I drag out the classroom. I bump into Angela in the hallway.
"Hey, watch it." She says, squinting her eyes.
"Sorry Angela. I wanted homework, but I was going to be late for class."
"Well, you better get there right now."
"You're so cute when you're mad."
"Well I'm about to get REALLY adorable. Go now." She says, with a glare.
I speed walk to class, and as soon as I reach the door, the bell rings.
"You're late, Ms. Tipps." Ms. Williams says.
"NOOOO!" I whisper-shout.
I sit down, and I get started on my work.
