New life new rules

    When I woke up and saw worried faces all around me. "Hi Tundra are you ok and well are we going to be ok, because I'm kinda scared the whole mountain falling thing," said Lynx.
    "Lynx i'm ok"I said " But I know that we will have a big problems soon."
    "Tundra the alpha male and female want to see you now," ordered Alba a silvery grey wolf with white spots then escorting her to the highest cave on the ledge where the alpha's live.
    "Hello Tundra I will talk to you later about you're  prophecy, but for now I want for you to teach the scavengers pup, Icebreaker the rules of our way of life, you understand" said Hailstorm.
    "What you're father is saying is for you to make Icebreaker you're student," Icicle explained "Do you have any questions?"
    "Yes I do have a question why me? Why pick me?"
    "Well we want you to have the experience of it but the second reason we can't tell you," growled Hailstorm who always seemed to be in a foul mood.
    After that I came outside and found Icebreaker playing with Ermine their tails wagging in the air. "Icebreaker I'm Tundra your teacher and I want to start teaching you now," I said "So stop playing with Ermine and come over here. So the first thing I want to teach you is the names of all the wolves in the pack, so who are the wolves do you know?"
    "Well I know all of the pups," Icebreaker said "And the Alphas, snowball, Frostbite, Winter, Lynx, Alba, Changbai, and Glacer. But I have heard of Storm who is the healer and Iceberg."
    "Ok so do you know who and what the beta wolf is?" I glanced at Icebreaker and saw her timidity shake her head, "Well a beta wolf is the second in command he will always take the pack if the alpha dies without someone challenging him. Right now are beta is Alba, Crystals teacher but right now his rank is going down because Crystal is the omega." I said then shooting an icy stare at Icebreaker "I kind of like you so don't be the omega, you'll bring me down with you, understand."
    "Yes" she squeaked out.
    "Ok now what was I saying" I muttered "Oh yes names so the two other wolves you don't know are Arctic he has pure white ferr, he is my brother and Ermine's teacher and Snowbank she has a white with streaks of brown and grey coat. You have any questions?"
    "Ya I do" she said "Um what happened to the old omega and who was it?"
    "Fjord was the old omega and he ran away because he couldn't handle the being the omega." Then I looked into her eyes and saw raw fear, later we found a sunny spot by a fallen log that was the bridge for getting on and off the island. In full sun light her red tinted fur coat looked like a flame. Then I said "We have five main rules one the Alphas rule all, two always feed the pack first, three always tend to the elders needs but we have no elders right now, four never kill a crow and respect the trees, five never ever wake up fang."
    When I was going to open my mouth and say more but Icebreaker then said "Why do we have to respect the trees and can not eat crows?"
    "We respect the trees because every tree is a spirit of a good wolf that has died, the bigger the spirit the bigger the tree. We don't eat crows because some crows are the spirit of bad wolves that have died, the crows sometimes help us find Hunt or something so they can become a tree a small one but a tree no less." I said.
   "Wait a minute"Icebreaker excitedly howled out "that means the great oak is a spirit! Who was that pure of a soul to have such a big tree?"
    "The spirit of the tree is the first female alpha." I happily said with a smile on my face "She was the kindest wolf that ever lived."
    "Reeeeally " she squeaked "What was her name!"
    "Well no one really knows" I saw his tail stop wagging.
    Then I suddenly howled in pain drop onto the ground and slowly stagger up, then I felt great claws rip through my back and teeth close into my hind leg. Howling in pain, I swipe my claws to fight back but there was no one there, all of the pack was clustered around me but they were slowly fading away. I looked forward and saw a pure white she-wolf like me but much more majestic, and for some reason I knew that she was the great oak. When I looked closer I saw that she had the same wounds as me. How odd she have the same wounds as me I thought but then I quickly corrected myself no I have her wounds. Then I noticed that she was deep in battle with two wolves that have jet black fur and blood red eyes one was male the other female both were the size of small horses. The oak wolf had barely clawed them but her fur was matted with blood, then oak wolf snarled "Fang and Claw you won't live forever because hundreds of years after this a young scavenger pup will kill you." Then I widened my eyes Fang the beast of death, the claws of sadness, the gaws of pain. I tried to run away but I was rooted in place forced to watch the battle go on.
    Fang the male wolf growled "Ha you think a scavenger pup will kill us, really Diamond us."
    "Maybe but I can kill Claw" Diamond said then with a sudden burst energy she jumped up and snapped her jaws around Claws throat the whole time Claw was clawing and trying to fling Diamond away. When Claw finally flung her off it was to late, Claw tumbled on to the ground and was now laying on the ground, a crow was being made out of Claws spirit. Then the crow just flew away.
    "Why, why, why, why did this happen, why did you have to die. Why." Fang howled, it was a slow and heartbreaking sound it made me want to curl up into a ball stay like that forever. Then he growled "Now I have to kill you, a life for a life, it's just fair."
    He lunged onto Diamond stabbing his claws into her stomach, then she weakly murmured "Beware the leader of them all
    He shall make thy great rock shatter and fall
    The one with fire inside and out
    Will make the ice red with his blood
    If you find the dragon's tomb
    His fiery breath will destroy the eerie gloom."
    Then she gracefully fell into the ground and died. All the sudden the ground started to shake, slowly at first then faster, then Diamond's spirit manifested into the great oak tree that will become the nursery. The vision started to fade away back into the real world.
    When I came back to the real world I felt Iceberg helping me up. "How long was I down?" I muttered.
    "Just for a few minutes." Iceberg replied.
    "Really" I said "it felt like hours."
    "Tundra I want to talk to you alone." Icicle said with a worried look in her kind brown eyes. I followed her into the alphas cave and she said "Tundra tell me what you saw but if it is to painful you don't have to, you understand?"
    "Yes I do" I replied when I finished telling her about Claw, Fang, Diamond, and How Diamond said my p.
   "Tundra I'm sorry about that." Icicle said "Do you still want to go hunting tomorrow because I can understand if you don't."
   "Mom I need to go hunting, I haven't hunted in four days I don't want my place in the pack to go down!" I said.
    "Ok, but are you sure?"Icicle asked"
    "Yes I'm sure" I  growled in annoyance. Then I came outside and went to the great rock that was enchanted years ago, it was enchanted to show the places of the pack and only the alphas can move the places of the pack. Ok I moved under Changbai but that's no bad I thought.
    "Hey Snowbank do you know where Icebreaker is?" I asked.
    "Ya she is in the healer's den" Snowbank replied. I trotted over to the healer's den den where Storm was showing them how to make stuff to place onto wounds.
    "Hey Icebreaker"I said "I just wanted to tell you that tomorrow morning in bring you hunting!"
    "With who?"asked Storm.
    "Um, let me think" I mumbled "Iceberg, Winter, Alba, Changbai, Lynx, frostbite, Arctic, and their apprentices. That means that Ermine is coming with us Icebreaker." Icebreaker's face lit up like the moon "I'm hoping that I take down some real prey like a deer or something, not some rodent."
    "I agree prey has been scarce this winter." Storm said "That means that I have a lot of wolves to take care of!"
    "Speaking of sick wolves where is Permafrost?" asked Ermine
    "He is gathering some herbs, he'll be back soon."said Storm "Why do you ask?"
    "We were just wondering, because shouldn't he be doing this?" Icebreaker asked.
    "Well it's always good to learn, you'll never know when you will need it!" Storm barked "So who wants to learn how to make a paste for rat bites!"
    "Me!" Ermine and Icebreaker squealed. I remember when I was that enthusiastic, I thought with a smile.
