I sniffle and wipe my nose, my tears soaking my cheeks. I could distantly hear the sound of my bullies retreating, and the sound of someone approaching. I let out a wail to whoever was coming in hopes of getting their attention.
"How pitiful, you think wailing will help you? Look at your face, it's absolutely disgusting" A voice says bitterly from above me. I look up and see a boy around the age of nine or so, he looked to be about two years older than me. He looks down at me in disgust, I feel my face crumple and more tears pour down my cheeks. A look of panic flashes across the boys face.
"What?! Stop crying will you, it gets annoying!" The boy crouches down by me and tries to comfort me by rubbing my back and patting my head, "If your gonna cry so much, why don't you fight back against those idiots?"
Idiots? Assuming he was talking about my bullies, I wildly shake my head, I can't fight them. The boy gives me an irritated look and growls slightly, the sound sent shivers down my spine. I've only ever heard a dog growl once in my seven years of life, and it was terrifying, but the sound that just came from the boys throat made me freeze in terror.
The boy seems to notice how i stiffened up and gave me a curious look, "Whats your problem now?"
Our eyes meet and my eyes widen when I see the deep red color surrounding his pupil. I slowly reached out and stroke his face with my snot covered hand, "beautiful..."
The boys eyes widen and his face fills with surprise. His hand slowly comes up and covers my own, which still was upon his cheek. He smiles and let's out a humored huff, "you sure are intersting, child, what's your name?".
"...Akuma" I say softly as my hand was gently pulled from his face. The boy offers me his other hand and I take it. He pulls me up quickly with ease, surprising me a little.
"Well, Akuma, my names Ningen, you sure have an interesting name! How about I hang with you for a while?" He smiles widely at me, with his hands on his hips. My face lights up and I smile the biggest smile I have ever smiled.
"Yes!'
Aaannnd done, sorry for the short chapter, I just wanted to get their past down though. Please forgive any spelling mistakes x3
