The Meeting

Shanay's P.O.V.

          As Go-go pulled into the college's parking lot she said, "Don't worry, sis. Hiro is a good kid. I know he'll make sure to show you around." "Am I the youngest here?" I asked.

"Yeah, but I know for a fact that you're the third smartest person here."

"Who are the other two?"

"Hiro and yours truly."

"Oh..."

          Thanks to my part-time job at Krei Industries, I have finally raised enough money to pay for my intuition. I can't believe that the building that I was supposed to move into for my promotion was destroyed! Mr. Krei said that it was all those six kids' fault. Even though they tried to stop Chalaghan. Apparently the didn't try hard enough. I would have joined sooner if that incident hadn't happened. Krei has asked me for help to get revenge, I'll find out what he wants me to do later today.

          I snap out of my trance when Go-go says, "Have fun, okay?" I nod my head slightly. I unbuckle myself and hop out of the car.
"Which way?" I ask. "This way," she replies, pointing at a door that says ENTRANCE.

"I did not see that."

She chuckles little bit. "Come on, I'll show you my lab."

"Shouldn't we wait for Hiro?"

"No. He's gonna show you the rest of the school and your lab."

"Okay, if you say so." I shrug my shoulders and start walking towards the door.

         All of a sudden I bump into a kid running in front of me. "Hey!" I yell. The boy looks at me with big hazel eyes. "S-sorry," he stutters. "No, it was my fault. I should really watch where I'm going," I murmur, feeling embarrassed. There's about 15 minutes of awkward silence, and just staring at each other. Finally, Go-go breaks it up by introducing us. "Hiro, this is my sister, Shanay. Shanay, this is my friend, Hiro,"she says, she also grabs our hands and makes us shake hands. I watch as blush creeps up his cheeks, I feel the same thing happening to me. "You two are red enough to stop traffic," says Go-go. We quickly pull our hands away, after realizing we were still holding each other's hands. I look at Go-go and see she's smiling like crazy. (Which looks like this, :|)"Hiro," I say. "Mm?" he acknowledges.

"Would you like to show me around now?"

"Sure."

          He takes my hand again and starts to drag me towards the door. I look at Go-go and she give me a thumbs-up with a big grin. (Which looks like this, :|)

          We walk around for what feels like forever until I hear a bell. "Oh, no! I forgot!" says Hiro. "Forgot what?" I ask. What if he has a girlfriend and they were supposed to meet up before class?! I thought. "There's a meeting in the gymnasium for all students, it's more like an assembly, but we're going to be late!" He grabs my hand after running his fingers trough his hair and drags me to a gymnasium littered with robots built for sports. We sit down in the bleachers just as my boss, Allister Krei, walks up to a microphone and lightly taps it. He clears his throat and begins a long list of people of which he is thanking. Hiro leans over to me and whispers, "We have robot sports here. Almost every Thursday we have robot basketball." "Can you even do that?" I ask in awe. He nods his head and I turn my attention back to Mr. Krei as he said my name in his list of people to thank. "... In fact she is here today! Everyone applaud for Shanay Hinum!" I slowly stand up to a faint clap coming from Hiro. "Shanay, could you come up here please I need your assistance," said Mr. Krei. I nodded and scooted past Hiro to get out of the bleachers. Once I was next to Mr. Krei he whispers in my ear, "Read this." He hands me some cue cards and I nod.

          I adjusted the microphone, cleared my throat, and read, "Due to the incident at Krei Industries that included Professor Callaghan being thrown in jail, your new head of San Fransokyo Institution of Robotics is Allister Krei. You will refer to him as either Mr. Krei, Professor Krei, or Mr. Technology. You are to treat him with respect, but you can pick on me?!" I look over at Mr. Krei and he makes a keep going motion with his hand. I look down at the cue cards for a minute and see that it goes on and on about how they could torture me. I look at Mr. Krei and then say into the microphone, "Thank you for your time, you may all return to class now."
