"I just..... can't"

What a lot of people don't understand about having Chronic pain, Fibromyalgia and the like, is that it isn't JUST pain. It is a hell of a lot of that, but not ONLY that. Fibromyalgia is a syndrome - disease kind of thing so that includes a boat load of other disabling symptoms as well. However, hardly anyone seems to realise that chronic pain itself, even as a symptom, has it's own lovely set of symptoms.
Chronic pain causes anything from  slight tiredness to chronic fatigue, depending on the severity of your condition. This means that as you are in more pain, your body is getting tired and 'heavy' from having to cope with it. This makes you move less and become slower in everyday action. And so you get stiffer and less fit, and things that just made you ache a bit before, suddenly set you on fire. It becomes a cycle affect, as because of these new/worse pains, you can't do what you used to or as much so you are moving less, and you also get more fatigued.  And so it starts over.

One problem I always have that I'm certain more have too, is people such as my physiotherapists, occupational therapists etc telling me I just have to 'break the cycle' and it's all uphill from there. Or that I just have to push myself to exercise and that to get through the agony I just have to remember that it'll help in the end.
As 'inspirational' (haha) as that is, the pain and fatigue are actual things, not in my head, so I can't just push through it and reason with the pain. Plus, sticking to a fitness plan isn't as easy as they all seem to think, even working up from the bottom. Because you know what? Sometimes you just..... can't.
