CHAPTER 1 : SAVE THE SURVIVORS

Excy's POV

"As your duty, you need to take the survivors to a safe place. i will send the coordinates of the nearest army facility on that island a second you guys landed. I suggest all of you to be armed... heavily armed. the enemies where identified to be dangerous and high profile. i wish you all the luck gentlemen." commander Luis ended the briefing. We are going to our next mission.

I took a deep breath as we went to the armory and get ourselves ready. I took a seat at one of the benches and looked at the ceiling. I thought of Careen. We had a fight when this call of duty came. we didn't  even had a decent talk. I'll get back as soon as this mission is cleared.

"a penny for your thoughts Ce?" Abraham spoke behind me. he was assembling a M16-77 Agrade while smiling at me.

"it's about her... i just , you know girls... they have this moodswings... i think she's crazy... " I said. I reached for a set of pocket knives displayed in the wall. I secured it in my thighs.

"You have to bear with them son. girls are like precious jewels. they have flaws but if they are treated ... their true beauty comes out. if you know what i mean... just listen to her. Give her what she wants.. Tell her she's pretty and she's the only one. that will make her feel better. He tapped my shoulder then continued the work.

A few minutes later an officer directed us to ride on the GDF chopper and start our mission. the flight was quick. we landed a few kilometers away from the target and started to search  the area.

i was with Abraham looking for some signs of survivors when i heard him groan and winced. i looked back and watch him fell to the ground. he was touching his neck and he was turning blue.

"what's wrong Ab!?" I quickly checked on his neck to see a small wound and the veins around it turned black.

"it's killing me ! the p-pain!! aaahhhh!! helllp me !!" he shouted as he roll because of pain. I took one antidote solution from my pocket and inject it in his neck.

A few minutes past but he still feels the pain. I carried him back to the craft and seek for help. He was getting worst as time goes by. he was still sleeping when i decided to continue the mission.  i took him back to his cabin and left a dose of antidote at the side table.

"i'll be back Ab.. " i took my radio and gave updates to the quarters. i was walking pass the big trees in the forest when i heard a voice.

"H-helllp... please.. our pl-plane crashed." i looked around and found a girl crawling. she was almost naked and wounded. she was about to collapse but still she managed to ask for help. i held her in my arms and started to walk back to the helicopter.

"Elijah...i'm sorry" she sobbed but i told her not to cry. She would hyperventilate if she becomes hysterical.

"you're safe now . " i said softly beside her ears. she raised a hand and touched my face. i saw tears streaming down her cheeks.

"t-thank you..." she replied and i felt her lost her consiousness. i took her back to the craft. I looked for Abraham but he's no where to find.

"please take the girl to the facility. she needs medical help." i told the pilot. immediately it took off.

I heard a gun shot and a loud scream. I took my thermal glasses and searched the area. I found someone nearby. I run and saw a wounded body of Releix (one of my fellow soldier.)

What the hell is happening here?
