It’s been two weeks since I’ve entered that messed up school. And despite what Ryuu said about not helping me out, they’re always there watching over me. Well it’s a Saturday! I should do something fun.

“Nee-chan!! Nee-chan!!” Mirai was calling for me from downstairs.

“I’m coming!” I said with a light cheery tone.

“Get your ass down here faster, you little—“ And he got hit in the face with ten pillows.

“Shut up!” I said as I got off the last step, “Now what was it that you wanted, sweetie?”

“Take me here!” He said as he held up a flyer for an amusement park.

“Let me guess. Your older brother doesn’t want to take his adorable little brother to an amusement park?”

“It’s not that I don’t want to,” He tried to excuse himself for being lazy. I just crossed my arms in front of my chest and gave him an ‘I ain’t buying it’ look. “I have a date. She gave in to my good looks. I don’t wanna let her down,” He said as he ran his fingers through his hair.

“’Good looks’ my ass. She only gave in because you were too persistent,” I whispered over my shoulder.

“What was that?” he said with a flat tone. Which was his ‘I am going to murder you if you say any more’ tone.

“Nothing! It’s just that you have to be more considerate. What if I also had a date? What would you do then?”

“Pfft! As if you would ever be able to get a date!”

I don’t get asked to go out on dates… I get pulled away to be raped… but I’m safe with the sweater…

“Shut up. Just for that, I won’t take him for you,” I winked at Mirai to let him know that I would but to just go along with it.

“Whaaaaaaaaaaat?!?!?!” Mirai squealed.

“Okay, okay, okay! What can I do to make you do this for me?”

“You are to not say anything mean to me for a whole month!”

“Fine then I won’t say anything. He-he, loophole.”

“Oh, I wasn’t finished. Instead of insulting me you should praise me every ten minutes. On. The. Dot. Got it?”

He dropped to his knees, “Yes, my princess,” and he bowed before me.

“They don’t call me ‘Miki’ for nothing.”

“’Miki’ is your name…?”

“The name just suits me well. Mirai, we’ll leave at 11. Be sure to be ready by then.”

“Yes, ma’am!” he salutes me then runs off.

I turn to go up the stairs to go get ready. I look back at Hirata. “Hey! Just ‘cause I’ll be out doesn’t mean that you don’t have to keep your end of the bargain. Remember, every ten minutes!”

“Yea, yea,” he sighed as he looked at his phone, “Okay, I’m off.”

“Wait! It’s 9:30 a.m.! You usually get up at around 1:30! Where are you going?”

“I have another date with another pretty girl. I’m gonna help her at the animal shelter.”

“You man whore…”

“You prude!”

“Whoa! I had no idea you knew that word!!” I yelled as he closed the door blowing a sarcastic kiss at me.

I passed time by staring at my homework. Not doing my homework, no, I have no interest in doing that yet. That’s what Sundays are for. The next thing I knew, Mirai is at my door ready with a big smile on his face.

“Ready, Nee-chan?”

“Yes let me just get my shoes and some money for lunch.”

“Okay!”

I put the English homework away and looked for my phone, wallet, and for a bag to put it all in. Passing by my bed I caught a glimpse of my sweater. Maybe I should take it. You know for the cold…even though it’s August… Well who knows? There could be some guys from school. I guess I should bring it with me. Just in case…

When I got down the stairs, I saw Mirai facing the door jumping up and down in anticipation. I giggled as I got the keys to the house.

“C’mon, Mirai. We gotta get moving if we wanna see the characters do a little dance.”

“Do you think that I can actual bunny?!” he asked while I led him out the door.

“Maybe. But I’ve heard that they only say hi to the good children. So you have to behave while we’re out, okay?”

“When am I ever not a little angel?”

I paused to think of it…. I couldn’t really think of a certain time, but he’s getting closer and closer to that annoying brat of a kid phase in his life. And I’m dreading the day it happens. I find it hard to imagine him like his older broth—

“Miki! The park is this way!” he yelled at me. Turns out we traveled the same distance from the drive way but in different directions.

“Yeah. I knew that. I was just making sure you knew where we are going. Because when you get older, I am not walking you and your friends to that park, okay?”

“Yea…. Sure…” he said not buying it.

“Did I fail that hard?” I asked as he grabbed onto my hand.

“No! No! I totally believe you!” he said trying to lie

“Thanks. And you are horrible at lying,” He slumped down in disappoint. I nudged him and said, “Hey, don’t worry. You’ll get better; trust me.”

“Okay.”

"I"m gonna get on the 'Scuicide', the 'Raptor', and the 'Spinning Spiral of Spinniness'!!"

"Fine. Let's just see if you're tall enough to ride the rides, okay?"

"I should! I grew THREE inches! Count them! Three inches!" He held his fingers infront of my face. He is a bit tall for his age, though.

"I get it. 'Three whole inches'!". My phone started ringing. The number was unfamiliar but I always answer my phone.

"Hel--"

"MIKI!!!~ WE CAN SEE YOU!!!!~~~~" Screamed two very familiar voices, bursting my eardrum. I frantically looked side to side then i looked over my shoulder. I saw two idiots dancing around and yelling, trying to get my attention. I swear, their faces almost looked like the emoticon "'x' capital 'D'. I saw Yonji joining in but with his monotone face he looked awkward. There was Ryuu, trying to sink into the ground while face palming himself.

"Nee-chan, I'm scared," Mirai whispered while holding on to the bottom of my shirt.

"Yea. Me, too," I said sarcastically. I was a bit scared though, but not like Mirai. I was scared of what was instore for us.

I sighed, hung up the phone, and walked dreadfully towards them.
