Calis POV
As Adrian grabbed my arm, i felt my heart stop. No one knew of my addictions. i tugged my wrist back.
"They're nothing." i grumbled. i turned around and started to head back inside, but adrian took my hand. He looked so broken.
"Why?" he asked softly. i could feel my eyes water but no, i was not going to let my emotions show.
"i think its time i go. you know how to get home." i muttered. i let go of his hand, immediately regretting it. he just stood there, looking at me as i walked away, towards the bus station.
*The Next Day*
"& i think your tired eyes are sorta nice.."
my alarm on my phone blared. my head was pounding, slowly remembering last nights events. i felt awful for leaving him there, it was a bad part of town. what if he was hurt? i sighed. i got up, picking out a pair of black skinny jeans with rips through out them, and a violet tank top. i dropped them on my bed, heading down stairs. usually my parents are asleep on the couch but they arent even there. i found a note of the table, reading it carefully.
Cali,
your father and I are going out of town for the next week or so. dont break anything. moneys in the bank.
- mom & dad.
i sighed, when they do this they always end up in jail. oh well. i walked back upstairs, skipping breakfast. i grabbed my clothes and phone, walking into the bathroom. i opened my spotify playlist as Halsey blasted out. i ran back into my room grabbing my small Bluetooth speaker, connecting it to my phone. i turned it up all the way smiling to myself. i peeled off last nights clothes, putting it into the dirty hamper. i got into the shower, my body relaxing quickly.
*After shower*
i dried of and changed into my clothes quickly, grabbing my phone and speaker and tossing them on my bed. i threw my hair into a messy bun to let it dry, sitting on my bed. i pulled out a cigarette from my pack, lighting it quickly. over my music i heard my front door being knocked on, so i traveled down the stairs to the door. i opened it carefully, and
"morning mystery girl." Adrian said with a smirk.
