CHAPTER TEN🌿

Saëna Plutron- the kingdom of shifter warriors

I felt myself falling into a white void, like a leaf swirling to the earth but in my situation there was no earth to break my fall nor the wind to carry me. The feeling was tranquil and calming. It put my mind in a state of utter relaxation. It was a nice feeling, feeling nothing but peace.

That was until I felt a warm cloth dabbed onto my face. I scrunched my nose, farrowing my brows in confusion. What the hell was being done to me?

I slowly opened my eyes. My vision was blurry at first. The cloud that filled my vision gradually cleared up making me see clearly. The first thing that caught my eyes was the ivory vaulted ceiling with flowery paintings. Blue drapings coiled around marbled columns.

And then there was the heavenly warmth that seeped into my body. I felt clean and smelled great. The soft bed added to my comfort. I didn't dare enjoy all that luxury. Not when I didn't recognize my surroundings.

Was I dead?

Was this the afterlife?

I needed answers to the questions ringing in my head. As I shifted a hand grabbed my forearm halting me. My gaze fell on a familiar face. It was the lass I'd seen before I fell unconscious.

I'd been too tired that I had mistaken the white of her hair for grey. Her hair was very beautiful and exotic. No one from the Northern parts of Elmora had such hair. It was quite refreshing to see someone so different.

I trailed my gaze on every inch of her luscious long blue and white dreadlocks that were pulled in a side bun. Her penetrating amber eyes framed with white lashes stared at me with fiery intensity that made my stomach tighten anxiously. Her full rosy pink lips were parted and soft breaths fanned on me, spreading warmth to my already heated skin. Was it even humanly possible to be this ravishing? For her it was possible.

I was just normal. There was nothing enthralling about my features. My hair was honey blond and I had emerald catlike eyes. My skin was a bit tan and thankfully unblemished. My lips were a normal plump and rosy. My body was a bit curvy complete with a narrow waist, short legs and average sized bosom.

I guess in a way I was not bad looking but I didn't compare to the beauty staring intently at me. I cleared my throat shrugging her hand off." Where am I? I asked groggily.

" You are in Saëna Plutron. I am Amanti. I'm the one who saved you, " she said with a smile.

I shifted uncomfortably under her gaze. I felt like she could read my deepest thoughts and that in itself was unnerving. She rose from the bed carrying a silver basin with a cloth hanging from it. She stepped in another room adjoining this one disappearing from sight.

Despite my obvious unease I remained seated. Acting irrational wouldn't help my case. She came back in the room with a grace that befitted a Queen. Her presence alone commanded all my attention as though she was a beacon of light.

" If you need a bath I'll draw one for you. You need not to be afraid. Just feel at home for you are safe. " I nodded getting off the bed. I let her lead me to her bathing place. We entered the adjoining room and I halted, my mouth gaped at the sight of the inside of the room. At home we bathe in hot springs and this bathing place looked nothing like a spring. It looked alien.

A large sunken circular bath took most of the space in the room. There were multiple pillars around the bath. A makeshift waterfall filled the bath with clear water. The were alcoves with shelves from which robes were neatly packed and bottles filled with differently coloured fluids.
