Harry's POV
Harry stood in the common room after he woke up. He was ready to go to breakfast with Ron. Hermione must've been already there as she usually is.
He wondered why Draco wasn't awake either. He always slept later than Harry did. But, this is the time Harry and his friends were already in the Great Hall and Draco usually came a few minutes after they entered. Although, Harry was running late. So, shouldn't Draco be up now? Harry crossed his arms impatiently and saw Ron coming.
"Finally," Harry muttered and walked out of the common room with Ron. They took there time going to the Hall because both were unusually tired. Harry stayed awake half the night thinking about Draco's situation. He actually liked the idea of him being the only one Draco can talk to. He grinned at the thought.
Harry walked into the Hall with a blank expression. Ron sat next to Hermione and Harry sat next to Ron.
"Good morning," Hermione said, "What took you guys so long?"
Harry sighed, "I had to deal with some... Problem."
He started to fill goblet with pumpkin juice calmly, he wasn't in a very talkative mood today.
Hermione cocked her head to the side, "Problem? What kind of problem?"
"Uh, I'll tell you sometime if I need help. But, at this moment I think I can handle this."
"If you say so," Hermione shrugged her shoulders and continued to eat.
Harry gathered food on his plate and ate silently. Just nodded to some things Ron or someone else. His mind was on only one thing at his surprisingly Draco. It was very odd to Harry to know someone with cursed Parseltounge. He seemed rather interested in Draco's curse.
Draco hasn't came into the Great Hall yet and Harry was quiet worried. Maybe he would show up in DADA.
Harry got up and headed to his class. Not waiting for Hermione and Ron even if they were just behind him.
Harry walked into class and saw no blonde. He huffed in annoyance and took his usual seat with Ron. Draco sits only a few chairs away from him to his right. Harry tried to let him go away from his mind as class started. He fumbled with his quill in his hand, becoming rather impatient.
Minutes later the familiar Slytherin entered in with his head low. Harry couldn't help but, stare at him. Draco somehow finally got Harry's attention. Well, it was mostly because of Draco's curse that Harry started to pay attention to him. But, now that Harry is started to pay attention to Draco he is noticing things about him that he never noticed before. It frightened Harry in a way that he never felt.
Draco sat down, the professor said nothing about how late he was. Harry noticed that Draco was avoiding eye contact with everyone. Mainly Harry himself. Harry felt a ting of pity for the blonde hair Slytherin surprisingly.
Draco's POV
Draco was late because he saw Harry wasn't there and the visions started to happen again. Although, he stayed to watch his hallucination to see how it ended instead of bringing himself to reality like last time. And to his dismay he enjoyed how it ended. He liked how Harry touches him in the dreams and it pains him to think that. He especially liked Harry's hands and his lips. Draco knew that he wasn't really liking this. It was the curse making him feel like he was.
An hour had past and he gathered his things, heading to the library like he was told by Harry. When he walked in the library Harry was already there. Draco saw how Harry was standing up and shifted his weight to his left leg. Draco saw how Harry's arms tensed and flexed when he did something so basic. Draco shook his head to get those thoughts out of his head.
Harry noticed him, "I didn't think you'd show up."
"I want this curse gone fast," Draco responded. He walked to a table and sat down, reluctantly Harry sat down besides them with their knees almost touching.
"Tell me again when did you get this curse?" Harry asked placing his arm on top of the table.
Draco thought for a while, "Probably like the middle of summer."
Harry nodded in response, "And is there like any other things that come with the curse?"
Draco immediately shook his head, "Uh, n-no- I mean not that I know of yet."
Harry furrowed his eyebrows on how quick that answer was. He shifted in his seat and this time his knee did touch Harry's and the tingles went up his spine. At that moment all Draco wanted to do was touch Harry. Just his hand. Just a simple gesture of anything.
"Don't worry Malfoy, I'll help you. You'll be able to talk normal again even if the words that come out of your mouth are snarky," Harry said with slight chuckle that made Draco's heart flutter.
It's because of the curse, it's because of the curse, it's because of the curse.
Draco had to tell that to himself multiple times a day when he encountered something with Harry.
"Thanks Potter," Draco whispered almost that Harry couldn't even hear him. But Draco saw in the corner of his eye that Harry smiled at the kind gesture Draco had done. It hit Draco like a ton of bricks that he has never said thank you to Harry. Even when Harry saved his arse in the Room of Requirements that day of the war.
Harry stood up, "Same time tomorrow?"
Draco nodded, "Yeah."
And then Harry left, leaving Draco with so many unanswered questions.
