Sounds of cheer filled the neighborhood, which woke you up from your nap. 'What's going on?' you thought to yourself. You yawned and sluggishly dragged yourself to the window. You rubbed your eyes to make sure you were seeing correctly.
You laughed to yourself quietly. 'He did it. The little rascal actually did it," you smiled proudly. You adopted Frisk when you were 18 years old. He was only four when you adopted him. You and Frisk were fourteen years apart and let him call you by your name. When he suddenly went missing, you knew exactly where he was.
Mt. Ebott; the mountain of monsters.
You've heard all of the legends and stories of the terrible war. Your grandparents died in that war.
You walked outside and watched all sorts of different creatures running out. Amongst them, you spotted a tall skeleton bouncing everywhere, a shorter skeleton grinning and watching, a blue fish with a red hair in a long ponytail that seemed to flow with no breeze, a yellow lizard-like creature in a crisp white lab coat, and a big goat in purple robes with a crown on his head. You assumed he was King Asgore.
You were amazed by how excited they were to come to this boring place. It was probably best if they stayed Underground. It was probably more exciting down there.
You sighed as you searched for your best friend. You frowned when it seemed like the last of the monsters were emptying the mountain. Though, one monster in particular easily got your attention.
He, or she, was glimmering in the sunshine. All you could see were pink and black and a bit of silver. You stared at him/her for a while until someone tapped your shoulder.
"Huh?" you yelped frightened a little.
"HELLO, HUMAN! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT YOUR WORLD IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!" you noticed the tall skeleton you saw earlier in front of you.
"Um, thanks?" you replied not knowing what else to say.
"heya, sorry 'bout him. he's still a little rattled about coming to the surface," the shorter skeleton winked. You smiled. "i'm sans. and i'm sure you know my little bro's papyrus."
"Hello, I'm (Y/N). Welcome to America," you said with enthusiasm.
"THANK YOU, HUMAN (Y/N)!" Papyrus yelled with gratitude.
"yeah, thanks," Sans agreed.
"No problem," you smiled. "Hopefully, I see you around."
"AND WE, YOU!" Papyrus skipped along.
"seeya," Sans waved and followed his brother.
You turned around and spotted the familiar little boy with a blue shirt and pink stripes.
"Frisk!" You cheered running towards him.
As you ran, you weren't paying attention and almost tripped over an uneven bump.
"Whoa!" You started to fall, but just as you were about to hit the ground, someone caught you.
"Darling? Are you alright?" asked a beautiful, smooth, yet robotic voice.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine," you stuttered and looked up to see who saved you.
Pink and black. And a little silver.
Glowing pink eyes, black hair, glowing pink heart in the middle of the midriff, black tights, pink stiletto boots.
"Th-thank you for c-catching me, um...can you kind of let me up?" You asked, a slight tint of blush on your cheeks from embarrassment.
At least, that's what you told yourself.
"Of course," the robot smiled and let you up gracefully.
You sighed in relief and smiled back.
"I'm-"
"(Y/N)!" a voice interrupted them.
"Hey, Frisk!" You held your little brother in a caring embrace. "You did it, little buddy! I knew you could!"
Frisk giggled happily. He was happy to finally be reunited with you.
"Oh, hello. You must be a friend of Frisk's," said a goat lady in a purple dress.
"His sister. Are you-"
"I used to be, but not anymore," she read your mind. "I am Toriel."
"Hello, Miss. Toriel, I'm (y/n)," you introduced. "Frisk and I are extremely close."
Toriel smiled at you and Frisk.
"I'm so proud of you, bud!" You cheesed hard and gave him a small kiss on his forehead. "So proud."
"Thanks," Frisk stated quietly. "I gotta go! Gotta help the monsters around."
"Yes, he is our new ambassador," Toriel agreed.
"Oh, wow! For a quiet type, you sure are making me prouder and prouder." You let Frisk down.
"Bye, (y/n)," Frisk waved.
"Bye, Frisk. It was nice meeting you, Miss. Toriel," you waved.
"It was a pleasure to meet you too, my friend. Be good," Toriel smiled and followed Frisk.
Once they were gone, you just stared at the mountain for a minute. All of the monsters were trapped down there for a very long time. They must have gotten bored and tired of each other.
You sighed feeling happy that those monsters were finally free. They only had to become liked by the people of this world. That shouldn't have been so hard, right?
