Ravenclaw

I walked with the Ravenclaws to the first class I had with them, Charms. I was kind of the odd one out, because everyone was staring at me. Probably because I was That Girl in Two Houses. "Hello there" said this Chinese girl in Ravenclaw. "Hi! What's your name?" I asked, trying to make friends. She looked over her shoulder to a group of girls, and I knew instantly why she was here.

"I know why you're here." I started "If your friends dared you to talk to me, consider this talking." "Um..." she nodded, shyly, "I'm Cho Chang" "Hi Cho! I'm Emma-" "Granger" she finished. "Everyone knows your name, well, you and Harry Potter, of course." Her face instantly turned red. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt"

I laughed. "It's fine" I said (if you know me irl you know how much i say this~:>) "So, how is it,being  in two Houses I mean" she said. "Fine" I replied "It's kinda weird with all the staring and stuff" I paused to gesture to her friends "but overall, it's cool"

"Sorry" she apologized "I'll tell them to stop" "No, it's okay" I reassured her "It's easier for me and Harry that way, because whenever we hang out, we can blame the staring on the other person" She laughed. "You know, most people say that you're mean, selfish, and just plain old bossy, but I think you're funny" "Thanks" I said. "Come one, I'll introduce you to my friends" she told me, gesturing to her friends. 

I nodded and walked over. "Everyone, this is Emma Granger" Cho started "Em, this is Marietta Edgecombe." I looked over to a pale, black haired girl, who looked a lot like Cho. One by one, she introduced me to all her friends and I felt happy.

By the time all this had finished, we had gotten to the Charms classroom and we sat down. "Today class, we will be studying the Levitation Charm." Professor Flitwick said. He looked me, and I smiled at him. He blushed. I looked at Cho in confusion. "He's really uncomfortable around girls" Cho explained. I nodded.

"Take out your wands" he commanded. There suddenly was a big woosh, and everyone had their wands. "Say the spell, then swish and flick. Wingardium Leviosa" his feather started floating. "Yes Professor" we all chanted. "Wingardium Leviosa" a Hufflepuff boy said, who was next to me.

"Wingardium Leviosa" I chanted and my feather started floating.

"Look here everyone! Miss Granger's done it! 10 points to Ravenclaw!" he said, excitedly. I smiled and Cho, and she gave a thumbs up. Once we were done, a ran out of the classroom, and caught up to Cho. "Nice job!" she said. "Thanks" I said, blushing. "You got 10 points for Ravenclaw on your first day! Not many people have done that!" she said.

"Well...." I started, but I realized that I didn't know the password to the common room. "Oh, we have to answer a riddle to get in" Che explained. The portrait said "Take away my first letter, and I still sound the same. Take away my last letter, I still sound the same. Even take away my letter in the middle, I will still sound the same. I am a five letter word. What am I?" I thought for less than a second, and got the answer "Empty!" I shouted. The portrait said "No one has ever gotten that one that fast, congrats" and she opened up.

I stepped into the common room and all I saw was an explosion of blue, white, and grey. We had a lot of classes after that, but nonetheless, my thought on my first night here, in Gryffindor tower ws becoming proven. I loved Hogwarts.
