Waiting for her was like waiting for the doctor to come in and give you a big shot in the butt. It gave him this deep feeling like a pit in his stomach that was growing heavier with each passing second. He hated this feeling, and had never had it this bad. It was like when the teacher is passing out tests that you know you failed on and you still have to tell your parents how you failed or the teacher will. Kyle hated that so much.
He was just waiting. He was standing in the box area where you sit till they call you up. The speakers screened to life.''30 minutes till F3 loads, sorry for the delay folks, the pilot was hit with some turbulence on the way in." Great, another thing to wait for. But at least that gave Elizabeth a few more minutes to come. Kyle was seriously starting to think that she wasn't coming.
What if she didn't get the message? What if she wasn't looking for him? Kyle couldn't take it any more, he started pacing so fast that his legs screamed for him to stop. He obviously had blocked all sound while in his pacing daze because someone tapped his shoulder and asked very annoyed to have him sit down or walk somewhere else. He turned to see that everyone was staring at him with very annoyed looks on their faces. Kyle sat down and stared at his thumbs on his lap. Only 20 minutes till he had to go on the plane and fly back to a normal life. He had to start over without her. He never thought of this outcome when he was dreaming up his future with her.
It was always happy and full of the life of their children playing with Elizabeth's parents and his ownHe always imagined that she was happy next to him with a smile that lit up the California sky. It was a life full of happiness and carelessness. It was good, no it was a fantastic life. Sadly though life isn't a fairytale. There was only fantastic lives in fairy tales, and Kyle didn't have one at his disposal. He wanted one real badly though. If this was the one time to pray for hope and happiness now would be the time. Oh Kyle didn't do that though. But he trusted nothing anymore so it was worth a shot. Kyle bowed his head and silently prayed that God would find mercy on him and bring his Elizabeth home to him.
He wasn't ready to let her go even if he thought that he could, he couldn't leave her. She was still his life, his salvation. The speaker came to life with a jump of everyone in the seats. ''The loading will begin now.'' In last hope Kyle looked up, nothing, no sign of her anywhere. He stood up trying to find her, maybe he could find her running to him last moment. But it looked like he didn't have God's approval after all. He couldn't find her anywhere. Kyle turned away in defeat, she didn't love him. If she did then she would of found him by now. Kyle turned and started walking away from happiness.
