"Amy, get up your going to be late."
Amy remembered that she was going to her dads house today and was flying to Oklahoma to see her dad. She could hear her mom calling for her from downstairs. She got out of bed reluctantly wanting to stay under the warmth of her blankets for as long as she could. She got dressed and put on her slippers and was walking out of her room when she heard it. It was her dog growling from behind her. She turned around ready to face his playful fit, but instead her dog came running towards her knocking her out of the way as he ran down the stairs. Amy got up laughing ready to run after her dog, but as she stepped forward she didn't notice that she was right in front of the stairs. Before she knew what was happening, she was tumbling and flipping down the stairs. Before she hit the floor, she hit her head on a banister at the top of the stairs. When she reached the bottom all the noise she could make was a grunt. Her mother came running towards her, but as she got to her, Amy lost consciousness.
"Amy can you hear me?"
Amy could hear a man's voice speaking, but she couldn't distinguish the words. When she opened her eyes she saw a doctor. She saw two other people she didn't recognize. A woman and a man. The doctor was speaking to the women and man, but she couldn't hear what they were saying. The doctor then turned towards her.
"Amy do you recognize these two people?"
"No, I'm sorry I don't know you."
The women turned towards her.
"Amy were your parents."
"Your my what!?"
"We're your parents. I'm sorry, it's a lot to take in."
The doctor turned back towards her parents. The doctor was talking louder this time but not loud enough for her to hear.
The doctor started speaking to her again.
"Amy we are going to have to do a CAT Scan to see if we can figure out why you have temporary amnesia."
As the doctors and nurses were pushing her to the CAT Scan room, the doctor was explaining what was going to happen once they got into the room.
Once she was laying on the table attached to the machine, the doctor was explaining more about the procedure.
"Your going to to hear a loud whirring sound, but don't worry about it."
As the doctor started the machine Amy heard the whirring sound the doctor told her about. She wasn't worried about the sound, it was actually soothing to her. As they got done doing the Cat Scan, Amy sat up to quickly and got very dizzy and lost consciousness again.
Once she gained consciousness, she saw the doctor and her the man and woman that were supposedly her parents looking at the results of the CAT Scan. They thought they were going to be able to find the reason for her temporary amnesia, but they found something worse. They found something that could change her life forever.
