(Y/N) P.O.V
Why does it have to be this way? Why did he have to leave? Everyday since he left my heart slowly breaks away. Who is this man you ask? Why no one else but Itachi Uchiha, if only I didn't have to fall in love. He never returned my question, he just disappeared on the night of his clan's massacre without a trace. Rumour has it that he joined a criminal organisation called the "Akatsuki" if it is true there is a chance that I'll have to kill him. Itachi was my only friend without him I'm just a pile of shit but now he's gone and his fangirls blame me everyday even if they know the truth. Tears welled up in my eyes and fell like waterfalls as the knife became one with my skin. The beautiful vibrant red liquid ran down my arm like any other day...
Knock knock
"Just a minute!" I yelled.
I hastily wiped away my tears and washed away the blood and wrapped my wrist in a bandage. I opened my front door and Sakura was there.
"Lady Tsunade has requested to see you," she said.
"Okay, thank you have a nice day Sakura," I replied putting on a fake smile.
"You too (Y/N), take care!" She replied while running off waving with a bright smile.
"Will do!" I yelled back even though it was a lie.
-At Tsunade's office-
I knocked on the door and made my way in.
"You needed to see me Lady Tsuande?" I asked.
"Yes, I have a mission for you. You are to track down the location of Orochimaru and find out Sasuke's condition. You leave at sundown,"
"As you wish Lady Tsuande," with that I left the Hokage mansion and went back to my house to gather my gear.
As the time went by it was finally sundown, I put down the book I was reading and set off to start my mission after locking up the house. It was night time now and I was currently in a forest 10km away from Konoha and setting up a small fire. Suddenly, I heard rustling within the trees and an angry of man could be heard. I put the sticks down and grabbed my bag and dived into a nearby bush. I could see two figures in black cloaks with red clouds on them, one of them was incredibly tall and had some features of a shark and the other had long black hair and was currently telling the shark like figure to be quiet as he would attract unwanted trouble.
His voice sounds awfully familiar...
My thoughts came to a stop when the pair stopped and the shorter one said "We're not here alone Kisame, come out of the bushes," he said as he looked at me with his sharingan eyes.
Wait... SHARINGAN?! It can't be Sasuke so it has to be Itachi!
I came out of the bushes ready to fight my childhood friend and crush with his new comrade even if it meant I would die inside and out. Itachi's eyes widened as he muttered "(Y/N),"
"Do you know the girl?" The person I assumed was Kisame asked Itachi.
"Yes, she was my childhood friend," he replied.
"I'll let you solve your sticky situation. I'll be outside the forest," Kisame said.
"Okay," Itachi replied.
Memories flooded my mind as tears slowly filled my eyes and I dropped to my knees and said "Why did you break your promise? You promised you would always be there to help me in any situation but you left me just like my parents," I sobbed and curled up into a ball. A pair of warm arms wrapped around my figure and told me to stop crying.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to leave you but had no choice. You would've been killed if I told you about my situation and I couldn't let that happen," Itachi said comfortingly.
I slowly came out of my ball and looked into his onyx eyes with my tear stained face. I began to stand up but he held out his hand for me to take. Without thinking I used my bandage arm that was showed as my sleeve rolled up. I quickly pulled my sleeve down as some of the blood had stained the bandage.
"What happened (Y/N)?" Itachi asked.
"N-nothing," I replied.
"You're lying," Itachi stated bluntly.
Itachi P.O.V
"You're lying," I stated bluntly.
"N-no," she retorted. (Y/N) was such a horrible lier at times. I grabbed her bandaged arm and rolled up her sleeve and ripped off the bandage. My eyes widened in shock as I saw the cuts on her arm. She tried to pull her arm away but I didn't let it happen.
"Why? Why did you do it?" I asked.
"Because I'm a worthless piece of shit like my mother and everyone else says. I can't do anything right and my only hope left me," she replied. I let go of her arm and looked at the floor.
"Itachi I love you and and I still do. I'm sorry I cut myself but I couldn't help it and I know you won't return my feelings but that okay,"
"I love you too and I'm sorry for everything including this," I said as I pulled her into a kiss and used one hand to hug her and the other to grab a kunai and stabbed her in back. I pulled away and watched her body go limp and fall to the forest floor in her own pool of blood. Her lifeless eyes looked up at me as I moved my hand to close them.
"I'm sorry (Y/N) but it had to be done. You could've heard information that wasn't for you to hear... I love you," I whispered as tears made their way down my face. I wiped them away swiftly and put back on my "emotionless" facade. I made my way to Kisame and carried on with our mission.
It's only a matter of time before we meet again in the after life (Y/N)
