If you haven't read it please go check out my other werewolf story The Half Blood Alpha. This book will include packs and characters from The Half Blood Alpha. This book also starts a few months before the events of The Half Blood Alpha. Enjoy! :)

I lay in my bed not bothering to get up. My wheelchair sat beside my bed. Whenever I looked at it it would bring back a fresh wave of misery.

I'd been happy in my old pack, I was one of the best fighters even if I was young. I had plenty of friends but all that changed. It had been a stupid accident. I'd been driving and the car had crashed. I hadn't been able to walk since.

Nor had I shifted.

My wolf was silent after that as if she'd suddenly disappeared and I hated it. It felt lonely.

The only people I saw these days was a friend I had made when moving to this town. Her name was Zara and she too was a werewolf. She was a rogue but kept to herself. I heard the door open and I knew it was Zara. She barged into my room.

"Morning," I mumbled.

"I'm moving in," she declared suddenly.

I looked up at her. "Why?"

"You need someone to look after you," Zara stated.

I glared at her. I hated it when anyone pointed out that I couldn't walk. Zara sighed.

"Not for that reason Daisy," Zara reassured me. "Have you ever heard of Storm.

I sat up. "No,"

"Well she's a dangerous rogue and she's been hanging around here lately," Zara explained.

"You're a rogue," I pointed out.

"No I mean like she's really dangerous," Zara insisted. "She's the daughter of an Alpha so her wolf is really strong,"

"Why would she do that?" I asked.

Zara shrugged. "Beats me. This town is pretty close to Midnight territory,"

"No I mean why would she become a rogue?" I asked. "There's nothing wrong with being a rogue but it just seems weird for someone who's the daughter of an Alpha,"

Zara shrugged. "I don't know. You know what's even weirder? She used to be called the Alpha's perfect daughter. The point is I don't trust Storm and you can't defend yourself since you can't shift,"

I stared at her.

"I know it's rude to point it out Daisy but you can't shift," Zara explained.

I was glad there was no pity in her words. I would've been angry if there had been.

"I'm going out," I told Zara.

"I'm coming too," Zara decided.

I shook my head. "I'll be fine,"

Zara looked like she was going to argue but she didn't. I wondered why but I was glad that she was letting me. She left the room and I changed into a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. It took a while. When I was done Zara came back in the helped me into my wheelchair.

With that I left. I ended up going into a cafe and ordering a hot chocolate and a brownie. I had a big sweet tooth. The waitress smiled at me as she gave me my order.

As I was nibbling on the brownie a man came and sat town on my table. He was tall, and although I didn't like to admit it he was handsome. He had brown eyes and blonde hair. It took me a total of two seconds to realise he was a werewolf.

"Um who are you?" I asked.

I decided I was going to fool him as best as I could. I had to act how a human would.

"Does the term pack mean anything to you?" He asked casually.

"Should it?" I responded trying not to panic.

"How are you doing that?" He asked.

"Doing what?" I asked genuinely confused.

"Never mind," he mumbled.

I went back to nibbling on my brownie and hoping he would leave.

"You do know you're trespassing right," He asked me raising his eyebrows.

"Trespassing on what?" I asked.

"You know what," he answered.

I stared up him. "Um actually I don't,"

"Don't play stupid," he whispered threateningly. "I know you're a werewolf. You are a rogue and you are trespassing. Not that you're much of a threat,"

He was talking about my wheelchair. I was angry at him.

"Did you come here just to mock me because I can't walk?!" I whispered angrily. "Because I don't appreciate it!"

I wheeled away paying for the hot chocolate and brownie and left the store. The guy followed after me. He wasn't even trying to hide it.

Since I was trying to get away from that man so quickly I almost bumped into anyone.

"Sorry," I muttered looking up at the man.

He was tall with black hair and ice blue eyes that seemed to look right through me. I could feel the Alpha power that he emitted.

"Mate," he growled.
