Dylan's POV
...Way back when i was 9 years old...
"Are you ready son" tanong ni dad.
"yes dad I'm excited to celebrate Christmas kina lolo at lola in the Philippines and Uncle Sam will gonna be there too" I replied to him excitedly habang papasok sa sasakyan.
"Yeah not just your Uncle Sam gonna be there, your cousins and aunties will be there too" sabat ni mom na nasa front seat. "They're all excited to see you again Dylan" dagdag nya sa kanyang sinabi. Masasabi ko na mas malapit ang loob ko kay mom at sa kapatid nito na si Sam na isang doctor na tumulong kay mom sa ospital nang maipanganak ako at kasama namin sa bahay.
"ano tara na"sabi ni dad pagkatapos mag suot ng seatbelt.
"yes honey, baka madelay tayo sa flight lalo na't masama pa naman ang panahon ngayon makapal na ang nyibe sa daan" sagot ni mom kay dad.
My dad is a businessman, he run his own company in the Philippines kaya nahahati ang oras nya sa trabaho nya at sa akin lalo na at nandito kami sa Canada at nasa Philippines si dad, dito kasi nagtratrabaho si mom bilang isang Chief of Cardiology sa isang high standard na ospital dito sa Canada at ang kapatid nya na si Uncle Sam. Pero bumabawi naman si dad kapag nakakauwi sya dito he bought me what I want, we hang out together, gone fishing and he played soccer with me.
"mom bakit nga pala hindi nalang sumabay si uncle sam sa atin papuntang Philippines ngayon" tanong ko ky mom. "may inasikaso pa kasi sya sa ospital honey at pupunta pa sya sa grave ng grandma and grandpa mo, don't worry honey your Uncle Sam will follow, okay" sagot ni mom sa'kin.
"okay mom" sagot ko kay mom.
"Danny "Don" Barbara" sambit ni mom kay dad habang nag mamaneho ito sabay abot ng isang maliit na kahon kay dad. "what's this" sabay inabot ni dad ang maliit na kahon galing ky mom habang nakahawak ang isang kamay sa manibela. "It's a beautiful wrist watch honey". Sabi ni dad pagka bukas nya sa maliit na kahon gamit ang isang kamay. "oops, where did this come from" sabay hugot ni dad sa isang maliit na kahon sa kanyang likuran. "aww, I thought you forgot" sabi ni mom kay dad na parang naiiyak. "how can I forget the day we get married, that was the happiest day in my life honey" salaysay ni dad. "I love you honey" sabi ni mom. "I love you too" dad replied to mom sabay halik sa labi nito.
"uhm mom, dad" sambit ko sa kanila habang nakikita silang nagkiss. "Dylan "dale" Barbara" sambit ni mom sabay abot naman sa akin ng isang maliit na box. "what's this mom" tanong ko. "open it honey" she replied with a glimpse of smile in her face.
"where did you get this mom, it looks ancient and what is the carvings means" tanong ko.
"that is the symbol of aquarian star honey and enochian letters in the back of that pendant" sagot ni mom sabay tingin kay dad. "your grandpa gave that to me when I was seven years old two days before Christmas, same as today" dagdag nya. "it's beautiful mom" puri ko sa kwintas na bigay nya. "promise it to me that you will wear that at all times, and don't lose it" she told me mysteriously.
I feel sleepy and I suddenly watched out the window, makapal na ang nyibe sa labas ng biglang............
