Scars

You are relieved that you defeated him, but there's still some feeling you need to sort out... you are overwhelmed by the emotions of all the memories that came back to you after the fight. The sadness when your parents fought. The fear when your mother is killed by 'him'. The other mixed emotion all swirling around inside you. You just can't take it anymore... Freed has woken up by this point, but you don't notice, as you run out aimlessly, not knowing where you're going, just trying to outrun your emotions. Blinded by tears, but still running, the feelings overwhelm you to the point where you can't even run anymore. You are now in the desert. You collapse on the sand and cry. You think,"Why? Why? Why did 'he' have to do that to you? Leave scars, because all that taught you was that you can't trust anyone, because your mother trusted your 'father', but he killed her. He killed her without a second thought... and that scar... that scar can never be healed."
You don't notice when Freed and the rest of the group catch up to you. When you realize is when Freed puts a hand on your shoulder. You, from under your hood, look at him. No one can see your face when you put a confident expression on your face to hide the pained look. You get up and walk off, trying to not let your voice tremble as you say,"Come on. Let's head back." Erza asks you if you're OK. "Yeah... yeah, I'm fine." Is your reply. You walk back the rest of the way in silence. You sleep in a dorm in the guild hall tonight because you just want to be alone. You plop onto your bed, and curled up on your side. You always sleep like this, with your cloak and hood comforting you, but tonight it's not enough. You cry yourself to sleep, thinking ,'I don't know why my own father would do that.', because no matter how mysterious you act, you're still that same insecure child on the inside.

It's a bit short, but... Oh the feels...
