The first Yaoi
Subaru x Shū

This evening, I did a huge effort, following the white-haired guy through our manor.

Found him in the same place where he went every night to sit alone. A good place where from you can see a beautiful landscape of the forest and the moon rising. A quiet, sad panorama that he admires every night. I was wondering what he thought about as I got closer to him. I stopped moving when I reached his behind, then I looked out the window, as well. What was it that he found so interesting and looked at every night?

I almost fell asleep trying to figure it out, when his deep, cold voice called my name: 'Shū.'

'What is it, Subaru?' I asked.

'What do you want?' He asked me like I disturbed his moment of relaxation.

I had to give an answer, didn't I?

Well, I stayed quiet as I tried to find a good response. What was I doing? Why was I spying him?

'You see... I wanted to figure out why you are so lonely, I guess...'

That was a bad one.

He was lonely because of his childhood, of course! Now that's gonna bring him some unpleasant memories. It wasn't a good move.

Instead of getting angry and maybe punching the wall, he sighed.

'I use to think about me... and my family. Including you and our brothers...'

I was right! He thought about his family.

I moaned as I almost fell asleep. I leaned against the wall, so if I'll sleep, I won't fall down, at least.

I closed my eyes and thought about this. Now, I know I wanted to ask him something more... What was it?

I'm not sure anymore. My mind was blurry and I really, really needed some sleep. Following him around is tiring, even if he isn't doing a lot of things.

I tried focusing on it. Yes, yes, I remembered...

'And what are you thinking about us?'

I wanted to know this from the very first night I saw him looking out the window. His impressions about his family could be interesting.

I hope I didn't embarrass him too much. And even if I do, he can take this.

'Actually, right now... I thought about you.'

He moved awkwardly and sighed. I liked his voice. It was deep and calming, excepting the moments when he yelled. But I liked it.

I found it surprising as he continued:

'You are my favorite brother. You don't do too much things, so you don't annoy me.'

He turned around. His blood-like eyes fixed my gaze and gave me shivers. My will to sleep faded as I glared at him.

I never imagined to be anyone's favorite brother, but now Subaru tells me that out of the blue...

He then started walking to his room. His cold, white hand touched mine. None of us said anything.

His steps echoed on the hall as I sat down and fell asleep.
