It was a dark and dreary morning in
the month of October. Rain was
pouring down the window, the sun
was hidden behind the clouds. Kelsey
rolled out of bed and tied her curly
brown hair up in a blue bow. She
slowly walked downstairs to find her
brother crying uncontrollably. She ran
over and tried to comfort him.
Throwing her arms around his fragile
body she whispered "Everything will
be okay it's always the start of the day
that makes you upset. Dad is gone
now, you don't need to worry. Lets get
some breakfast and get to school
before he gets home." Jude hurried to
the extra bedroom on the main floor to
find his backpack. Kelsey sprinted
upstairs and threw on some clothes.
She pulled her long sleeve down to
cover the appearing bruise on her arm.
After getting dressed she rushed to the
bathroom and quickly finished getting
ready. She grabbed some clothes for
Jude off of his bed and threw them
into a draw string bag so he could
change on the way to school.
Scrambling to find her keys, she heard
it, the slam of a door. He was back.
