Chapter five: Mistakes

   The grubby window had started to make my head ache. I was sitting alone in the 14th row of the bus. I had been on the bus for two hours waiting for the bus stop. I lifted my head off of the window side and saw a blurry sign that said "NEXT STOP, IN ONE MILE." I flopped my head back and to the window side and closed my eyes. Minutes later a heard a man say 

   "Okay everyone off the bus."

   I shook my head and stood up. The strange texture of the bus floor made my feet tingle. I placed my hand on the glass door and pushed out. The cool breeze fluttered over my pale skin. I took and deep breath and continued down on the side walk. I patted my beanie down on my head and pulled my cream colored shirt down a little farther. 

  I looked over to see a large sign that said: NORTH BEND, WASHINGTON...
