First Day of Summer

*beep beep beep beep beep*

"What the hell?" I said waking up to an unexpected alarm.

"Since when did I need this? It's finally summer!!!" I said to myself.

Good thing no one was around because people would've thought I was missing something up there. All I could think of is hanging out with my friends because isn't that what summer is all about? Oh well, I mean like a hot guy to spend it with would be pretty cool too but hey that's not gonna happen! It's only 9:03 am and I already want to go out and enjoy my soon to be eventful summer.

I miss my friends already even though school just ended last Wednesday. It's Saturday and I can't wait to spend time with them again. Madison, Devin, and Gordon are my best friends. I have others but I'm the closest to them. We are always out and about doing crazy shit together and I don't regret any of it. I live with my parents and they're the best I could ever ask for! Sometimes they think I go out too much but I'm young and I want to have a little fun while I can.

It's about 12 o'clock in the afternoon now and I decided to stop being lazy and hit up my friends. I text Gordon asking him to come with me somewhere.

"Well where do you want to go Chelsea?"

"Uhhh Gordon you know I'm not good at picking places! Think of something (:"

"You texted me first so I'm guessing you already have a place in mind"

"How about the beach? Or an art museum! No, the mall. I need some new summer clothes lmao"

"Aight the mall it is. I'll let Madison and Dev know too"

"Okay I'll be there in about an hour, see ya"

Okay Chelsea time to get ready by 12:45. I honestly don't take that long to get ready but you know my phone is a major distraction.

"Hmm what to wear..?" I say quietly.

I throw on a pair of dark wash shorts with a zip up grey sweater that I have. Finishing my outfit off with some flip flops. Oh how I love flip flops! Now to this mess pointing at my hair. I decided to do two quick French braids. After that I'm out the door and in my car.

My friends and I always meet up at the Macy's in the mall. I see Madison and Gordon waiting on the bench. Where's Dev? He's always late. He takes more time than I do. I park my car and start heading to my friends. Then I turn and see Devin trying to find a park too. Thank God he came earlier than I expected. I always wonder what makes that boy take forever.

"Chelsea!!" Madison and Gordon say in unison.

"Omg! Guys, it's been sooo long!" I say sarcastically.

We all start laughing because everything is funny to us. It's always a good time with them and I love it.

"Hey!"

I feel arms wrap around my back. I knew that hug. It was Devin. He always had those amazing hugs. His warms arms and comforting chest was the best. I used to like him back in sophomore year but I never told him because we were such great friends and I didn't want to ruin it. That only lasted about 2 weeks and I'm glad cause our friendship wasn't worth risking.
