In the Wrong Place and At the Wrong Time

By Coco

Ever heard that saying "in the wrong place and at the wrong time", well in my case, it's not just a saying. Prepare yourself to the upcoming tragic accounts of my life, where you're thankful not to be me. Everyone has come to know in some point of their lives how it is to be the new kid in school or being the new to something right? It usually, erase that, it never ends well.

So here I was entering my middle school for the first time out of elementary. I felt petite, the ceiling reaching up to 20 ft high, hallways spreading like spider webs, the bright lights blinding me in confusion, and the deathly silence of being early making me nervous. Feeling the urge to escape, I ran to the nearest restrooms, where I shut the door and locked it.  I close my eyes and pant.

"What are you doing here?!", the guy yells making me open my eyes.

Me: "Aah!" <I yell. Hey, I just escaped the scary hallways, what do you expect?>

Guy: "What are you doing here?!" <He repeats with a flaming red face.>

I stop and realize that he's in the girls restroom.

Me: "What are You doing here!" <I yelled accusingly. I always hated perverted guys. Eww.>

Guy: "What?"<He asks in disbelief.>

Me: "You heard me, what are you doing in the girls' restroom!"

He stayed silent, so I repeated my question.

Guy: "This isn't the girls' restroom!"

Me: "Yes it is!"

Guy: "Oh, really. Then why are those here?"< He asked pointing at the urinals.>

Me: "Um-um-um...." < I start swaying side to side. Awkward!>

Guy: "Hello?!" <He snaps.>

Me: "Sorry! Bye!"<I said quickly before unlocking the door and running the heck out of there.>

Yeah, I'd have to say sixth grade wasn't easy. I would say that this was the most awkward moment in my lifespan, but I would be lying. And just in case if you're wondering, I did apologized and explained my situation properly to the guy. Wouldn't want people to think I'm a freak or anything right? Hehe, to late.
