Alex's pov
"Hey Mom, can I go to the library with Lucy to study?"
Lucy is my best friend of 10 years we met in 2nd grade. We became firends only because of Brady. It was too bad Brady moved away in the 4th grade,but Lucy and I still hope to see Brady again some day.
"Sure you can go,but make sure you get home ten minutes before 10:30. You know the punishment if your even one minute late." She said
"OKAY I promise I won't be late this time"
This punishment my mom is talking about is when I have to stay in my room and read books,I'm only allowed out of my room to either go to the bathroom, to do chores, eat, and go to school. That's it anything else is prohibited. I don't get to use any of my electronics. (unless it's for homework but my parents have to watch me do my homework if I use my computer.) I don't even get to excersie even though it's good for you. Luckily that punishment lasts for only three weeks. I think if was any longer I would die of boredom once I read all of my books that is.
I go back up stairs and get ready to go to the library with Lucy. I put on my gray sweatshirt and my brown heeled shoes. I try and fix my hair so I look presentable enough in public. I take another look in the mirror once more before I leave and think I need to change my shirt. I try on a cropped black shirt and I think it's too much so I try on a basic dark red shirt with a pocket on the left side of my shirt. It's perfect! I thought happily, it matches perfectly with my dark blue jeans, my gray sweatshirt and my brown heeled shoes! Now since I figured out what I was wearing was acceptable for the public to see, I walk downstairs and say goodbye to my mom and leave the house to meet up with Lucy.
~~~ Time passes ~~~
Lucy and I reach the library and before I enter, I notice something out of the corner of my eye. I turn my head towards the thing and nothing was there. I'm going crazy I thought . I keep seeing things that turn out not to be there. I sigh and went into the library.
" I can't believe I have another test in math! It's so stupid, algebra is stupid." Lucy said.
"Yes I know it's stupid but I'm not the one in advanced math, plus your the one who chose to be in that class. I came here to do a geography assignment and than study for a history test." I said with a sarcastic smart tone.
"Yeah I know but you know I only asked you to come study with me because I hate being alone in public areas. She gave me puppy dog eyes which never work on me but I stayed because I need to get things done myself.
"Let's just get to studying already" I say as I find a seat. I sat down and pulled out my phone and put my headphones in my ear as I start playing some classical music. Don't get me wrong I love other styles of music like EDM or anything upbeat like kpop. Its just classical music gets me to focus and relax. I pull out my geography book and start reading chapter 6.
After a while I looked over to Lucy to see her struggling with a math problem.
"You know if your having a problem with math you can asked me even though I'm not in advance math." I walk over to her side to see what she is struggling with.
"Say... can you help me out with this problem?" She said with a disappointing voice.
I look at the problem and I dont understand it at all."I'm sorry I can't seem to figure it out. Why don't you try and find a math book with formulas in it? After all we are in a library."
"Yeah I should do that.. Thanks Alex."
"Anytime!" I said with a smile.
I put back in my headphones and finish my homework for geography and start study for history.
