"Miss Y/N, Captain Rogers has requested your presence on Level twelve." F.R.I.D.A.Y. said and brought you out of your deep sleep. You peeled an eye open and saw that the sun was barely inching it's way over the horizon.

"C'mon, F.R.I.D.A.Y., it's gotta be like five o'clock in the morning." You groaned and buried your head under the covers.

"I understand, ma'am, but Captain Rogers has declared a Code Black Out and would like your assistance."

At the words "Code Black Out" you shot up and threw the blankets off. You didn't have time to change so you threw a hoodie on over your camisole and left your pajama shorts on. Shoes were also nonessential at the moment so your feet made a slapping sound as you sprinted across the marble floor. Steve hated having to ask for your help because he knew how much of an effect it had on and Bucky afterwards. If it came down to getting you down there then it was probably pretty serious.

"F.R.I.D.A.Y., tell Steve I'm on my way!" You shouted as you pounded the down button on for the elevator before deciding the stairs would be more effective.

"Of course, ma'am."

"And F.R.I.D.A.Y., please start with the important stuff next time." You huffed as you took the stairs three at a time.

"I'll be sure to do so." If an AI could portray sass then F.R.I.D.A.Y. was certainly giving it to you, but you couldn't focus on it at the moment.

Finally, you reached the twelfth floor and burst out of the stairwell. You heard a commotion coming from the right so you headed that way. The noise only got louder and louder so you painfully knew you were headed in the right direction. You turned a corner and saw Steve coordinating some other people with a stressed look on his face. It perked up just the slightest when he saw you and waved you over.

"What's the damage, Cap?" You asked, more than anything not wanting the answer.

"Code Black Out and it's worse than last time." He said with a grave look on his face.

"Where is he? Any casualties?"

"We have him contained in there," he jerked a thumb to a room where you could here Bucky tearing it apart, "and no casualties yet. He tore through half of level ten and most of eleven before we were able to keep him in one place."

"Ok then I'm going in." You said with determination in your voice and took the earpiece he handed to you.

"Take this too." Steve handed you a small hand gun and you scowled at it. "I don't want you to have to use it either, but no one wants a repeat of last time."

Instinctively, you rubbed the five inch scar on your left hip with your thumb. Bucky had another episode a few months back and he snagged the serrated dagger off your belt and went at you with it. Steve was able to incapacitate him, but not before Bucky sliced into you with your own knife. He felt guilty for weeks and it took so much time for him to understand that you were never even mad to begin with.

"If I need help, I'll signal for backup." You said tersely and moved to stand in front of the door.

With a deep breath, you pushed the door open and locked it behind you so it could only be opened from the inside. Once you did that, you saw Bucky trying to punch his way out the window. His eyes were wild and his pupils were incredibly dilated. He tensed up when he turned to look at you and the lack of recognition hurt more and more each time. His metal arm shifted with him and you knew he only did that when he was getting ready to fight someone. You held your hands up in surrender and plastered a warm smile on your face to try and diffuse him and when it didn't work you would try something else.
