'An absolute disgrace! You humiliated the Royal family!'
'I'm sor-'
'There's no point in apologising now. It's too late. At any rate what were you doing?'
When I returned from the city yesterday, I was unquestionably distressed – mentally and physically. As a result, I dozed off right through the morning... and clearly dismissed today was the day the President was visiting. But how could I reveal the painful events that had happened yesterday? Anyhow, I was now here to receive my punishment.
'Sorry to disturb you Your Majesty but he's here.' He?
'Min Ae the city is powerfully dangerous at the moment... and after the recent events some people's hearts have been stained in pain.'
Lately in the town there have been frequent cases about robberies and worse - murders. It's been revealed that assassins were now beginning to intrude mansions of rich Lords and everyone has been considerably attentive to me.
A bitter shrill raced down my spine as I recalled my encounter with the thief.
'Let me introduce you to Lee Min Ho. This young man has been highly educated in both the arts of numbers, writing and is undoubtedly the finest skilled warrior- a perfect man to protect you from harm.'
I saw it: flawless pale brown skin which made him look devilishly handsome, shaded brown hair, thick and lustrous, his eyes a mesmerising endless chocolate ocean. To end it he was tall and had a great build which captivated countless young, beautiful girls.
'Your Highness, I feel honoured to serve you. I will do my best.' That voice. I know it.
'Thank you Min Ho I am grateful of your assistance.'
'I have business to attend to so please excuse me. I will entrust Princess Min Ae in your secured hands Min Ho.' And that was it.
'I am aware my mum must have instructed you to report on what I am regularly up to right?'
Min Ho's view:
She's smart.
She's a beauty too. I was enchanted by her sapphire eyes that were sparkling brightly under the sun's rays.
It's a shame – I thought I had dazzled her but instead she captured me.
'Yes Princess. May I ask how you discovered that as I'm sure it was highly confidential?'
'I am her daughter. I realise it's your job but I would welcome it if you wouldn't be too bothersome but proceed with the reports on me, I won't block your way.
'I understand Princess but it's difficult not to stay away from such a gorgeous face.'
For the briefest of seconds I thought I felt happy when he said that but this tiny ray of light was quickly shattered as he spoke the next words.
'I'm sorry. I have faith that you didn't take that too seriously. As a man I like to joke around a little even if it's with you Princess.''
Embarrassment filled up in my body as I felt my cheeks turn a bright red indicating clearly I did take it seriously.
It was the first time someone had not only been so chatty with me but in an irritatingly kind of way. This man who I assumed would seem quiet was in fact quite the opposite. As much as he annoyed me that evening it was fun talking so freely for once considering he was a complete stranger to me.
However long this had seemed it was in actuality a very short measure of time. It was now bed time when something utterly unexpected happened. No not that locket again.
For the first time in my life I never saw such agony and fear in my mum's eyes as all the blood drained from her distraught face. As if I had just revealed a forbidden secret.
Who was this man?
