When Edward and I got home, Nessie and jake were playing. They looked adorable together. It was close to her bed time but she was having fun so I'll just let her tire herself out. When we walked in their attention snapped to us. Nessie came running and raised her hand up. I bent down to see what she wanted and saw a vision of her and Jake laying in the bed cuddling.
"Yes Nessie he can stay if he wants but you have to ask him, with your words" I said and she ran over to him. Nessie hardly ever spoke. So when she did speak I always pay attention to her voice.
" Jake, can you stay a night with me?" She asked
A smile crept up Jake's face and he nodded his head. And with that Nessie pulled him up stairs. It was now just me and Edward.
" Edward" I spoke up to get his attention. His head snapped in my direction and he mumbled a yes. "Don't you ever think that the voulturi isn't finished, like they're gonna come back."
"No," he spoke up. "And if they did they would have to kill me before I let them take our daughter, and I'm not going down without a fight."
His words always seem to make my body at ease.
