A/N: Everything. Fall. Everything. IM BTS TRASH SORRY NOT SORRY
*Narrative POV*
Yes, this was that dramatic Gray-saves-Juvia-and-Lucy-from-falling-off-a-cliff-but-can-only-save-one-who-will-he-choose?-scene.
*Juvia's POV*
Gray held me and Lucy's hands as we dangled from the cliff.
I didn't want Lucy to die.
"Gray-sama, please let Juvia go." I said.
"Yeah Gray, let go of Juvia." Lucy said.
There was pain in me as I turned my head to look at her with tears welling in my eyes.
She looked back at me. "What? You insisted yourself." She said.
Oh.
Well, she has a point.
Gray let go of me. He looked at me with an expressionless face and let me fall. He pulled Lucy up.
I sighed as I stared at the sky. This is peaceful. I'm not changing into water because my heart just broke.
Tears came out but didn't fall, they flew up— I guess.
Plus, this is what I've wanted since I was born.
Ah, the famous (pfft) Rain Woman. Cursed with rain surrounding her wherever she went.
Speaking of which, it's raining now.
I closed my eyes.
Thank you, fate, for finally giving me my happiness.
I smiled.
I knew I was close to the ground.
Suddenly, I felt an impact. I'm dead. Thank G—
"What the F*CK?" I asked when I opened my eyes.
I wasn't dead.
I groaned and pounded my fist to the nearest thing near me.
"WHY IS JUVIA NOT DEAD?!" I screamed.
Finally, I noticed arms around me and what I pounded my fist onto was Gray.
"G-Gray-sama?" I asked.
He frowned at me.
"Why do you want to die?" He asked.
"Why did you save Juvia?" I asked him back.
He looked away. I pulled from his grip and sat down.
I sighed.
Fate, I trusted you. Why didn't you let me rest?
Instead, the one who brought the Rain Woman back saved me.
"Juvia," Gray started.
