MARGOS POV

Flashback of her childhood:

"Mommy! Mommy, come quick! Help me mommy!" I screeched.

I heard her running up the stairs. "Jesus Christ, Margo. What's wrong?" She sighed.

"Mommy, there's a spider in my room." I sobbed.

"Oh, sweetie, it's just a little spider. It's not going to hurt you." She said, smiling.

"But mommy, it's big and brown, and look-" I said, showing the two marks on my arms. "It bit me."

Margo's mom looked at the marks. "Oh, they're not that bad. You're gonna be okay. It only bit you because it was scared. Now, where's the spider at? We'll put it back outside, where it belongs." She said kindly.

"It's right there, mommy." I said, pointing to my headboard. It was crawling on the top, making little circles and stopping every once in a  while as if it was admiring the craftsmanship.

Margo's mom walked over and put her hand on the headboard. The spider crawled onto her hand, and she slowly closed her hand. "Come on, Margo. We'll go put it outside." She said.

We went out to the back patio, and before she set it down, she said, "Do you want to name it, Margo?"

I paused. "Yeah, I guess so." I said happily. "His name is..... Sebastian." I decided.

"That's a beautiful name, Margo. For a five year old, you can pick some good names." She smiled.

"Thanks mommy." I said proudly. She set down the spider and said, "Bye bye, little Sebastian. Go find your family and live a happy life." It crawled away and Margo's mom said, "Come on Margo. Let's go inside and make some sandwiches and nachos."

"Okay mommy." I said, still grinning.

4 YEARS LATER

"Margo! Come downstairs real quick!" I race downstairs and sit down across from Mom on the couch.

"What's up, mom?" I said.

Mom and Dad looked at eachother and started smiling. The took each other's hands and Mom said, "Margo,  we have a surprise for you."

"A surprise? What is it mom what is it?" I said excitedly.

"Well.... So you know how you always wanted a little playmate... But one that actually lived with us, you know?" Mom said.

"Yeah, why?" I said without  a clue.

"Well, your going to get one." She said happily, with an excited look on her face.

"Mom.... Are you pregnant?" I questioned, my eyes growing wide.

"You're a smart little girl." Dad chuckled.

"Oh my god. Oh my freaking god. This is great! Oh my god, I can't wait! Is it a boy? Is it a girl? Do you have a name for him-or her? When-" I shouted in glee.

"Sweetie, calm down. We can only answer the one about names. If it's a girl, we'll name her Naomi. And if it's a boy..." She looked at me slyly. "If it's a boy, we'll name him... Sebastian."

I paused, remembering the spider that we let loose after it bit me. "Like.... Like the spider that I named?" I said in surprise.

"Yeah. It would kinda be like you named him, you know?" Mom said.

"Yeah. I'm so excited!" I said.

"We knew you would be." Mom said.

9 MONTHS LATER

"Mrs. Castellda, it's a boy." The doctor said. Mom had been in labor for 4 hours, and Dad was holding her hand the whole time, saying, "It's okay, Adeline. You're going to be okay. Just breath. Just keep breathing and everything's going to be okay." She was set down on the hospital bed, and after 30 minutes of her screams and loud breathing, the baby was born. Mom cried out in joy after hearing about the gender, and the doctor asked if she had a name in mind. She said, "Of course. His name is Sebastian. Sebastian Glenn Castellda."

Sebastian has the strangest eyes. One was blue with a brown block that was like a sideways trapezoid, and the other eye was brown with a blue block that was the same shape. Mine are similar, but both are blue with a brown line streaking down in two wavy lines. Mom looked into his eyes and gasped. Because he wasn't crying. He was giggling.

And I heard Dad say, "I will always protect you and this family. I promise."
