                 ~•~

My dad used to always tell me  "You can't start a new chapter of your life, if you keep re-reading the last one"

He is a very smart man. he raised eight kids on his own, my seven brothers and I. My mother left after  I was born. I've never had a motherly figure around. my fathers and brothers have done every thing In their power to make sure I was healthy and did well in school.

I graduated at fifteen . I went to many universities, I even went to Harvard. I was protective over my brother as they were over me. I stopped my brothers from dating and marrying the Wrong girls.

Yet, I've never had a boyfriend. My father was the problem. He was a well known business man, Many feared him. I  grew up in many different places. My father made me move in with him and the remainder of my brothers that aren't  married or just moved out.

I was currently reading 'the fault in our stars' it was very emotional. It's also one of my favourites. My father sat beside me on our leather couch we bought a few days ago. He turned on our tv and started to watch the news.

The woman on the screen smiled widely as she was given a green piece of paper. "Well ladies and gentlemen, the day to sign up has finally come. The dating game has finally come to our wonderful state of California!" Her voice was full of youth and happiness.

I laughed looking at my father "she won't last long daddy" I put my book down and focused on the tv.

"You heard me right everyone!! The dating game has come to us! You better sign up quick! Only 25 girls and 25 guys will be selected to participate in the game." She smile more with every word.

I crossed my arms. "If she smiles anymore she'll ripe her face like the joker" my father chuckled "she was the only one with the right qualifications!!" He defended himself. We heard the door open and close, people talking was the next sound. I turned and faced five out of seven of my brothers they had wicked smiles on their faces.

"What.did.you.do" my father and I said in unison.

"Oh you know, Amelia we just signed and got you in the most loved game ever!!" My eyes widen as those words left my brother Nathan's mouth.

I was in shock.

Oh no...

No no no no...

Not that game! That game is stupid!

"No..." Was all that left my lips. I looked down at my book then to my father, he was frozen in thought.

I coughed "When do I leave?" My breathing shaky as I try to regain my breath.

My eldest brother started to smirk, my other brothers soon joined to his smirking.
"In like 2 hours"

My jaw dropped.

My heart speed up.

My hands got sweaty.

"My baby girl! How could you boys! I'm so disappointed!" My fathers voice echoes threw our home.

"Dad, she's a grown women who needs to live her life!!" My middle older brother Alec rebelled earning some 'yeahs' or 'that's right!' From my other brothers.
