Dustin stays for a short while after I tell him about the "events of last night." I sigh and make my way into the bathroom. As soon as I see my reflection in the mirror I begin a frantic search for my makeup bag.
Finally, I find the bag and begin to apply my makeup for the day. I fix my once curly hair into a messy bun and dress in leggings and an oversized jumper. Dressing like this was my favourite thing to do.
"I'm going to the store do you want anything" I ask Jenny as I slip on my boots.
"Just get me coffee please," she says smiling at me. I nod in response and walk out of the dorm room.
I began the short journey to the store and walk into the large target and much to my advantage it was basically empty. I grab a trolley and walk around the store grabbing all the essentials so I didn't have to return too soon. Double checking that I had everything I needed and making my way to the check out. The sight before me made my heart skip a beat.
It was Oli.
I look away but, I can feel his eyes on me so I turn around and face him.
"Hey," he says, I can practically hear the smirk in his voice, "when your done doing your shopping maybe we could go for a meal?"
"Um s-sure," I just about make out, barely audibly.
He grabs my phone out of my hand and puts his number in. Handing the phone back to me, he walks away. I pay for my shopping and do likewise.
My mind begins to wonder as I regret my decision of going on a "date" with Oli but, the only reason I felt this way was because I had a boyfriend. Oli was the type of guy I'd usually go for so it was no surprise that I had accepted his offer, although I was in a relationship. I sighed and realised I'd now be harbouring yet another secret.
Back in the dorm room after having the short walk home to think about my decisions, I decided to begin getting ready for my "date." After applying quite a large amount of makeup, I quickly tidied away the products and straightened my hair.
Searching for something to wear was a long and tedious process but after some time and a process of elimination, I chose my white co ord set - which consisted of a long sleeved white crop top and a white mini skirt - and a pair of baby blue heels.
After looking in the mirror for what felt like the hundredth time since getting ready, I heard a knock at the door. I opened it white shaky hands and sweaty palms.
And there he was.
Dressed in grey dress pants and a white crisp shirt - which showed off his toned arms and ink covered skin. He looked amazing.
And it was all for me.
